Photos of Coues deer taken with a bow - page 22

Arizona has generous archery deer seasons.  There are seasons in August, September, December and January.  Many of the seasons allow you to take any antlered deer or any deer, including does.

Mario Grambs                  Jan. 31, 2008

Unit 36B, AZ

Mario shot this buck on the last day of the hunt at around 4:30 pm.  His shot was 55 yards and this buck grosses about 114.

Robert Poor                       Jan 2008
(aka elpepe25)

Robert was lucky enough to have his trail camera catch a photo of the buck he shot right before he shot it (top photo) and right after he shot it (middle photo).

Here is what Robert said about his hunt:

This is the buck I've been after since October, I have approximately 50-75 game camera pictures of him. Then in mid December he quit showing up, followed by stories of other hunters pounding the area and taking great bucks. I sat in my blind every weekend this month w/o sightings of him. Finally he came in yesterday and I had a rare opportunity to take him.  The two daytime game camera photos are of him just before and just after the shot.  He gross scores 107 1/8 inches and has double split brow tines.

Josh Epperson                    Jan 2008

Josh has been having a tremendous hunting season!  He bagged a monster with his rifle in Nov and then took this awesome deer in Jan!

Read Josh's hunt story.

Alton Good                                    Sept 2007
(aka LoneWolf)

Unit 33, AZ

Here is what Alton's son wrote about the hunt:

My dad Alton took this beautiful buck on the second of September 2007 in unit 33. He grosses 114 7/8 and is a typical 3x4. He made a great long 70 yard shot that put the buck straight down. My brother, dad and I were hunting all day when we jumped him up heading back to the truck. I am the one in the green shirt and my brother has the camo shirt on. We had a great time and made memories that we will never forget. Hope you all enjoy the pics and the sight of such a great mature buck on the ground with three coues hunters that couldn't be any happier. Good luck to all and safe hunting.
