DLC Covert Camera customer comments
From Gary French, Mar 9, 2009 Re:Thanks Amanda – Covert 1 Hi guys, I just want to encourage anyone in the market for a trail cam to take a look at the ones offered on here. I ordered one from Amanda, and received it the very next day! I couldn't get it to work (my fault) and Amanda kindly walked me through the whole process over the phone. I couldn't be happier with the service, or the camera. I will post pics when I get some. Right now, all I have is my pointer standing on his hind legs staring at a nest in the tree in my backyard!
Matthew Phillips, Mar 22, 2009 Re: First test of The DLC Covert 2!, Great Results Went out camping this weekend with the family and set out my new camera. Amanda was right, it worked great and got tons of video of some muleys. The camera was really easy to set up and is small enough to put anywhere. If your lookin for a new cam I would recommend this one. Here are a few clips.
March 28, 2009 Just wanted to say thanks for fixing me up with the
camera today at the expo. It was also nice talking to you. I already
have a dozen pictures of my neighbors cat in the back yard!
April 25, 2009 Hi Amanda, We received our shipment on Monday and I've had some time to play with one of them today. They are really quite simple to operate and the pictures even at 3mp are nice and clear. I messed with different settings, but for today just used 30 minutes in between 3 shot bursts. I had one time when there was enough motion of some tree limbs about 30ft away that it triggered, but I also had it on High setting for sensing. They appear to be very easy to download onto a Laptop as well. I also notice how silent they are. You don't even hear them going off. That surprised me. I thought I'd hear the shutter. Thanks again for your help and the companies prompt delivery of the product. David McCasland
May 10, 2009 Dear CWT.com, June 9, 2009 I was consistently getting pictures taken way out on that far burm. In fact I have pic's of rabits at 25-30 yards. I'll have to double check, but I think I had it on the medium sensitivity setting. Not only was I impressed with how far out it would trigger, I am also very impressed with how far the LED's will illuminate the subject. It's a great camera! Read Tim's more complete review. I'm shocked! I could not believe it when the camera I ordered the other night [Friday, July 31] arrived Priority Mail today [Monday,Aug.3] !!!! That is outstanding service that just can't be beat. NOW I must wait til Sat. to put it out and try it. Thank you so much for your prompt service Very truly yours, Oldesladus[Paul Langtry] Aug 4, 2009 So far I love the camera! It's really easy to pack in somewhere. I also like
the fact that it takes double A batteries instead of D's. I need to order the
bear box for it here pretty soon. It takes really clear pictures also. Thanks
again! Aug. 7, 2009 I can't thank you enough for your exceptional service . The covert 1 arrived before promised time and all we had to do was insert the sd card and batteries and it worked thanks to your prior testing and programming. This meant a lot to a guy who hates to read directions and figure out how to program! Jim Newill, Mayor of Highland Beach, Florida

Upon receiving the Covert II, I was very impressed with the size of the camera. It was nice and small and it would be easy to carry several cameras in your pack if needed. I thought the operation of the camera was very user friendly and easy to set up. Also, the fact that it uses AA batteries is very convenient. I haven’t had a chance to try a solar panel yet, but I haven’t experienced much battery drain even after having it in the field for months at a time. Mounting this camera is a cinch. It was very easy and fast to attach to a tree. I opted to use the metal cage that Amanda sells which is a nice addition in case of a bear. I have a bigger Moultrie and even though you can set it up yourself, it takes much more time and is more difficult than the Covert II. With the Moultrie, it seems that the camera had to be in the perfect spot and height to capture any pictures, which caused me to re-position it several times to get the right angle for any pictures. This is not the case with the covert. Just attach to a tree and point in the direction you want and it seems to take great pictures or video. In the last 4 months I have taken over 1000 pictures with my Covert II and have been thrilled with the results. I have captured pictures of several animals ranging from a badger to a mountain lion with her cubs. As for the quality of this camera, it is very well built. I placed the camera in a wash in southern Arizona. Even after flash flooding several times, the camera held up without any damage and continued to take pictures. (If it wasn’t for the water line or the video I wouldn’t have known the camera was partly submerged.) It was amazing to see the flooding captured on video. The camera is still out in the field today performing as it did the day I opened the package. I couldn’t be happier with this product. View video clip of the flash flood View
