    Ethics VS Law

Came across a similar situation where a deer hat been hit by a car. It was sitting on the side of the road with 3-4 broken legs but still alive. Don't know how long it had been there.

    Zeiss 15x45 What's the worth

I see the Zeiss 15x45 and would agree that the swarovski's are better, but how do the Zeiss comare to the Minox 15x58, Fujinon 15, Doctors, or Zeiss 15x60's. Anyone had and experience between these and can compare?
  4. .270 Win. I have the Ruger M77. I shot my deer last year at 425 yards. I have a three inch grouping at 300 yds with Remington Corelokt bullets (only about $11) a box at wal-mart. I love It. My dad shoots his 300win mag, 7mm08, with his $30 a box rounds and is not any more acurate. Good luck
  5. I'm kettin excited. Just got back from scouting and saw about 30 deer. Two nice 90 class bucks and about 14 bucks total. Still lookin for the 110. That was just glassing between about 7:00 and 9:00 in the morinig. 10:00 and they were still out feeding. man I wish the deer would move around like this during the season. Couple more weeks. The big guy is in there some where.

    Rattlers

I have always believed seeing a rattle snake while hunting is a good luck oman. We killed three coues two years ago after nearly stepping on a rattler the night before. I was in 22 last weekend during opening morning of the elk hunt. During the middle of the day we about stepped on two timber rattlers. That night the big six-by came into the tyree stand we had just set up. (too bad my dads buddy choked) 110rbust

    Unit 32

Thanks for all of the tips. My dad taught me how to glass, he learned from Duwane Adams. I really could take periodic breaks. I also know a book buck is a tall order especially for October Hunts. I can't wait to get out and glass more. Good luck to you all this year.

    Coues with a 30-06

Grande Bear I killed my dear at 425 yards with factory Remington Corelokt bullets 130gr. I am grouping about the size of a tennis ball at three hundred yards. I shoot a ruger .270

    Unit 32

I've been hunting unit 32 for about 13 years, and have a few places that I go, but I have never seen anything in the B&c class. I have had chances at 100 inch deer, but nothing extra extra huge. Anybody willing to share some tips or hot spots. I am a patient glasser, and use top of the line optiks, but that big one seems to elude me every year. I am a full time student now and can't spend as much time scouting as i would like. tlcaffall@yahoo.com

Just another suporter of the corlokts, I don't shoot a 300 win mag, but my 270 corelockts did the job at 425 yards.

    Coues with a 30-06

I use a 270 now, but my first two deer I used a 30-06, I killed on of the deer at over 400 yard with the 30-06 with factory loads 150 grain remington. I killed a deer this last year with my .270, and I don't think the 30-06 did any more damage to the meat thatn the .270.
