Siwash Report post Posted May 10, 2012 I tried hunting the OTC archery hunt for a weekend on the Rim last May. We had Toms call back right at sunrise but none that would come in...except for the one making a beeline to us that suddenly stopped right after we heard a loud shotgun blast in the same direction he was gobbling from Anyway, If calling them in isn't working do your best to locate a flock or gobbling Tom and find water in the area. They have to drink every day. Find out where they are doing it and set up a blind or stand and wait. I didn't get a bird last year but did get to see a small herd of timber antelope come to the tank I was on as well as a lone cow elk. Watching those animals made the weekend for me. Good luck.
