I don't have any personal experience, but from what I have read on www.opticstalk.com they are very highly regarded.

I looked through a pair of their binocs a few years back and was really impressed. With optics it takes a while to gain a reputation, so I kinda waited until the jury was out on quality of build, warranty, etc. Honestly, I thought they would have more name recognition by now.

I have a couple pairs over the years I have the I believe ED2 10x now. They are great and way better than any vortex or monarchs I have looked through. I wish they made some 12's and 15's

I got the Prime HDs a couple months ago on sale from cameraland. No complaints, clear end to end, very bright and vibrant color, very solid construction. I expect them to be my neck glass for many years to come.

Anybody compared the ED to the HD's? Just curious if the $200 is worth it.

I've had the ED3's for 4 seasons now and don't have plans to change that (with one exception - if they start making 12's). Excellent clarity across 80% or so of the fov/great natural color/decent low light performance. The only downfall I have is slightly inferior construction and they are a bit big. That said, their warranty is great...I've had to use it once...my fault and no questions asked. Essentially these guys started out stripping competitors binos (especially Vortex) and reverse engineered using their own (and I would say better) materials. I've compared mine to every upper-end Vortex and won't make the change. My understanding of the Prime HD's was it was their first in house fully designed bino and except for the very first manufacturing runs which had problems, they are a slight improvement to the ED3's in edge to edge clarity and have a more refined finish. I haven't looked through them though so no direct comparison. I find tons of deer already with my humble ED3's. A great buy for sure.
