Slow Year

The last two weekends. This is our slowest year in a long time. We only have 18 at this point. Last year by now we had 50. We have busted our butts off this year. Long days, lots of miles. Hard work pays off. Guess that takes a while to happen.

I haven't heard of anyone doing better this year than last. If anyone is, chime in and share your glory.

I think I'm averaging 9 boot miles per shed. Sucks!

Any thoughts as to why? Bulls shedding later? More folks out shed hunting? I'm assuming you're in same areas where you've had more success before.

I did pretty good this year with the amount I went out I think I ended up with 120 pounds

More people is my main thought. I think people were just out too early and pushed the bulls out of areas. We went to an area we had some good luck in last year, and found people tracks in a place in a rough area that's not easy to get to.

Lots of people out early this year where I live. Everybody is going to get rich off sheds.

I had a camera out in a shedding area and some scumbag broke the lock on the camera and stole the data card. Stay tuned to see the scumbag's picture posted on this and other outdoor blogs very soon!! I'm tired of the low morals of many of today's outdoor enthusiasts comparing to former years.
