WY - Whose in?

Recommended Posts

I am pretty sure that's why WY moved it back. It's a great backup plan. I just wish ID did their draw before WY.

I think one guy said last year his unit had 70-some apps and this year there were 470 apps....

Do you know if they have plans to leave the deadline late or was it just for this year?

This was actually the second year. I don't see any reason why they would change back. They are selling thousands more NR antelope buck tags at $300 each and they didn't have to spend a dollar to do it. That's a pretty good deal for them. A lot better than making up some lame new club and trying to force people to buy memberships.

Oh I didnt realize that. Def makes sense for them.

Haha on the lame club. Who in the heck would dream up something like that.

Congrats on the 1st choice draw!

I drew a Wyoming antelope tag for unit 98 which is in the SW of the state. Never ever stepped foot in Wyoming. I'm having trouble finding any maps of the unit in detail. I've tried the DIY hunt maps and they are sold out. I don't own a GPS that I can down load maps. Wasn't there a map supplier who recently joined up here on cwt? I can't seem to find him in the sponsor section here. Has anyone hunted this unit before? :)

I think Game Planner Maps is who you are thinking of. Wyoming game and fish also has maps you can download for specific units and HMA's. You have to download a specific map viewer app but it shows you exactly where you are on the map using your phones GPS. Not very good for topo, but pretty decent for land ownership and county roads. I've downloaded several maps and ordered a few BLM maps for my upcoming WY antelope trip. Good luck!
