Time for a good head cleaning.

Recommended Posts

I've only mounted a few heads; a javi, couple deer. My time living in UT was tough on them, my speed goat lost an ear to a starving mouse and i gave the javi to a neighbor.

This buck was mounted around '75 and has been in a bag since moving from UT a few years ago. Looks like the one ear needs attention.

Time to unpack I guess.

Yes, I can't tell you the relief I felt after my head had been plumed and preened, that mounts old. And yes, I used alcohol to cleanse with. Good to know my head could last another 40 years if I don't abuse it, keep it out of the dirt, and not allow vermin to munch on it.
