Some of you have asked about the official score of the ram I killed last year so here it is.. It ended up making the all time Boone and Crockett record book. The B&C official score is 185 4/8".

Wow, nice ram! So I always hear that sheep aren't hard to hunt but the area they stay in is the hard part. Would you agree? Is that the Black River 27 hunt?

I wouldn't say they aren't hard to hunt because they are extremely difficult to field judge their size and they are spread out all over the place in some nasty terrain. They are not as skiddish as other big game animals, but the rams we watched knew how to keep their distance on steep cliffs. I did not have the Black River hunt, I had the 27 Upper Blue hunt. I was in great shape for that hunt and it was still a physically challenging hunt. I would do it over in a heartbeat though!!
