2016 Rut Activity

Recommended Posts

Hey guys/gals

I just wanted to start a thread on the rut activity for this year. I'll be up north this weekend and will have a report for 17A and 17B.

Thanks,

JD - DWN2HNT

I've been waiting for this thread all week. I have the rifle tag in my pocket and I'm trying to decide if I should go up this weekend.

Central AZ Whitetail 3,000-5,000 feet. No rut activity yet. Does are in groups of 2-5 and bucks are in bachelor herds or solo. No intermingling yet.

I was in 17a the last two days. Saw some nice bucks all swollen up distracted enough to stand still at 40 yards. No does with them though. To bad 17a is not open till january.

Me and JLW watched a buck chase a doe all over the country side in 19a. She was definitely driving him crazy.

I've been trying to rut up my doe all day. She keeps saying no.

Buy her a gun. That makes them pretty hot for dudes lookin for love.
