I wonder if on his "podcast" Jay will talk about how it was actually the draw tag holder and his buddies that found Curly and to avoid further drama handed him over to the auction hunter at which time he flew in to kill the ram with IMO the rightful guides, but because Jay actually had the tag in his pocket he got to bring it to the hunter and take a picture with the ram in his pressed Kuiu even tho he really had nothing to do with the hunt

Why would the tag holder tell an outfitter about the ram why didn't they just shoot it if that was the case

Keyboard Cowboys are mounting up. Call Jay if you have a problem with any aspect of the hunt. He posted his phone #. Embarrassing to come on the internet and throw around rumors when you can go right to the source. As usual, there will be lots of jealousy with any large animal harvested.

This escalated quickly. . But yeah I'm on the side of why would you call the auction Hunter when you have a tag and you're watching one of the coolest sheep to ever live? I don't see Jay threatening anyone and am curious how someone brought up the lawsuit thing. What the heck would they even be able to sue for? Chasing a sheep that a rich guy wants to kill? Sounds like a lot of made up stuff. Too cool of a sheep to have all the negative stuff popping up on how he was killed.

Couesbuk and Grundleshot you guys are taking bits and pieces of a story and spewing nonsense. There were definitely lots of moving parts with this story but your mixing things that are completely false with half truths. My number is the same it's always been. But you don't want to know the truth. You want to slander me. I have broad shoulders and I know what really happened. Good day! 602-803-0223 jayscottoutdoors@gmail.com

Again like I've said before, this was a great partnership between Colburn and Scott Outfitters and Arizona Desert Outfitters. Both groups played different roles in getting this ram harvested. Agreements were also made by ADO and their General season hunter and his father both of whom I've never met or spoken to.

I'm thankful and privileged to have seen a ram of this age, uniqueness and size and grateful for the dollars raised to help, protect and multiply sheep we all love and get to enjoy.

Well said. I've ever seen anything but pure class out of Jay Scott. Amazing ram and no sense dragging all of this through the mud.

I say instead of banning trail cams, baiting and ATVs we should ban tape measures and score sheets. 99% of the drama, jealously and lies would be elininated.

I have revealed these facts in hopes that Jay would explain to his "fans" exactly how this thing went down....I don't need to talk to him I just wish he would admit that many other people put much time and effort into seeing this beautiful ram harvested and then Jay rides in to take a picture with it as well as credit for "guiding" the hunt

There is nothing but truth being said by myself. Jay,I knew about the anonymous call before Chris began his hunt. I was present in camp during discussions about following thru with the 24 hour agreement. I was present when Curly was found. I was present when the phone call, not to you, but to the hunters rep was made. I was present while the ram was being babysat...I was one of around 20 people in that camp. None of us saw you during any of these happenings. You can imagine our surprise when we all saw a pic with you included. If it wasn't for the good will and integrity of the tag holder and his father, this discussion would not be taking place. The spin and drama on this ram truly does cast a bad light on hunting and somes opinion on Outfitters.

Grundle-

Again spewing things that are false and untrue.

Let me clarify a couple things, I have told my side of the story and am sharing videos and photos that were taken strictly by Myself and Darr Colburn on my Instagram account. Here is a portion,"We took this video the spring of 2016 it was the first time we actually ever saw this ram in person. Our good friend Ray Alt found the ram two days prior and I met Ray the following morning to try and get a personal look at him and maybe some #phoneskope video. We looked all day and could not find him. He had vanished like a ghost. I went back home that night and the next morning Ray called me saying he was looking at him again. @darrcolburn and I packed up and headed to the western deserts to try and get a look. When we got there Ray said that he had fed over the hill and so we spread out in the area and this was the first look I ever got of the ram known as "Curly". The first time I knew about curly was in 2014 when Darr and I were guiding the desert bighorn sheep auction Hunter. Arizona Desert Outfitters had sent us some trail cam pictures of this ram. We have a lot of photos and video to share of this ram. We would like to thank Arizona Desert Outfitters for working with @darrcolburn and I and our auction hunter on a successful hunt. Cool video clip captured by @darrcolburn of "Curly". The ram was nicknamed by the guys at Arizona Desert Outfitters (ADO) for obvious reasons. One of the challenges with this ram is that the ADO guys would get trail camera photos every once in awhile of the ram but actually putting eyes him always proved to be a challenge for them because of the nature of this ram to hang in the ironwood washes and low areas. The ram was almost always solo. Many times between photos the guys thought he might have passed away. Then he always seemed to pop back up again. When the hunter who wishes to remain anonymous purchased the tag, we felt that getting the ADO guys involved and leaning on their knowledge of the ram's loner behavior was absolutely the best chance for the hunter to harvest the ram. A great partnership was put into action."

To be clear the auction hunter has been a friend of mine for over 25 years. He purchased the tag at the sheep show. He booked his hunt with Colburn and Scott Outfitters. He wishes to remain anonymous and for that I respect him and his reasons.

ADO also booked the General season hunter in unit 43 A. I have never spoken to ADO's General season hunter or his father. I hear they are fantastic guys! I did not step foot in the unit until his hunt was over because I did not want to interfere with his hunt in any way. That means between December 1-17, I was never one time in unit 43a. There were agreements made between ADO and their General season hunter and his father, some that I am aware of and some that I am not.

The ram has been extremely elusive and a loner for many years. Very few people can actually say they have seen him in person. The ADO guys have trail cam photos since 12 or 13, hopefully they will share them because they tell the story of this nomadic sheep. They did a fantastic job of trying to follow and document this ram as he was like a ghost.

Darr and I knew that getting ADO involved after my friend and our hunter bought the tag would dramatically help our hunters chances of harvesting the ram.

Again, I'm not sure why people have to say things that are not true.

Merry Christmas to all the CWT members out there! I appreciate some of you that have stood up for me on here. To be clear, I make mistakes everyday and I am only saved by the eternal grace of God. Without that grace I would be rolling around in the gutter.

Wow, I guess I should have checked out this thread sooner! I am locking it as I don't see anything good coming from it now and it appears both sides have had a chance to say what they want. I really don't want to spend Christmas monitoring this thread, so let's move on.
