Carter Releases

Recommended Posts

Other than my hinge releases all I use are Carters. I've had a Target 4, Insatiable 3, Like Mike, Target 3, BK Hunter, and I'm shopping around for either a Wise Choice or Nock 2 It for hunting.

Once you have used a Carter or Stan you will hate anything Scott, Truball, Trufire, or basically anything else. It's like the difference between a Timney rifle trigger and a horrible factory trigger. Of course, this depends on how you shoot it. If you are truly setting the release off with your back muscles then you will really feel the difference between a good release and bad.

I bought a Tru Ball Pro Max 4 a few years ago when they came out, sold it after 1 shot.

I am late to the topic. I have had multiple carters. Got to visit the factory in Idaho as well. Awesome folks. My personal favorite is the ember. I am going to try a sensation in the near future.

I just switched over to a Carter RX2 and I love it. It reminds me of my Timney Trigger that are on all my rifles. Very smooth.

They are worth the $$$.

I ended buying a just b-cuz and really liked difference of a sear release compared to what I had before and then I also bought a sweet spot pro to try out back tension. Switching between the two has really helped my shot execution and taking out any anticipation that I was starting to have creep up before.
