she was about to give birth. we wondered why she was so spooky, we see this heard all the time for 4 years. they let us walk right up on them well at least my daughter.

I didnt notice this when taking the pics until I uploaded them to the pc.

we were just parked kid was sneaking up to get her pictures like she always doe's

Those are some of the coolest pics ever!. Knowing that she was about to give birth she was probably extra cautious and spooked. I'm sure you felt pretty bad after you saw these. Hope it dropped ok.

I read an article from Yale university about winter backpacking and they had the insight to mention not to harass wildlife.

Animals just get hammered at all times from people, lesson learned.

we saw these lopes 4-500 yards out off the main road. figured I would drive to the next hill so she could sneak up on them over the ridge. soon as I start driving down the road they bolted so we stopped at the ridge kid got out of truck to sneak up on them, didnt even make it to other side and they ran right to us. we got those pics also.

shoot happens kinda sucks.

 

BTW this is the small heard of 4 that hang out by the cement place off the perkins ville road on the south side by the tracks. the north side of the road have a herd of about 30-60 lopes depending on the time of the year.

Cause I dont know what one to get yet. looking at a 300mm we borrowed one of my buddies 200mm and I liked it but thinking of going bigger with a better aperture for more light . his one was just the stock 55

you think this is bad you should have seen some of the fools back in the 80's when we were using paintballs on elk.

 

its all good, btw she aint a little girl shes 16 has around a 25-30 hour a week job that male teenagers refuse to do, goes to school full time 3rd in her class, volunteers at a community center and shoots competition archery
