Looking at previous years that unit seams to average low 160s. I don't have the last 2 previous years in front of me (I just looked at 2010-2014.

Disease is hitting the older rams pretty hard in that unit .

Last yr mid to low 160’s. If I remember correctly the largest was a 6 yr old 167 ram

I think they taste better than deer/elk. Everyone that I have fed has said the same. But they're more tough for sure. But taste wise it's the best game meat I've ever had.

I don't remember what mine tasted like but I remember it's heart and lungs were covered in worms

I like goat meat.   Had it a few times and thought it was really good.    Axis is in a league of its own for sure.  

 

I think the first ram a bit younger but in 15D that might be a good ram right now.   Not sure how bad the unit got hit with health issues.
