Offroad tires for Ram 2500 diesel

Recommended Posts

Cooper ST Max. Ran them on my Dodge Power Wagon and now on my Tacoma. Great tires

Good looking tire. They tough enough to stand up to the weight of a diesel?

I would look at the Toyo RT or Nitto Ridge Grappler personally if you want something more aggressive than an AT, but not a full blow MT. I had the Toyo AT's on my Ram 2500 Diesel last and wasn't impressed. They weren't bad, but not great either. The BFG's AT's I have now will get the same amount of life, and have way better wet/snow traction than the Toyo's did.

I went through about three sets of Nitto's and averaged about 50-55K a tire. Two years ago I switched to TOYO AT Open Country and I rotate them every 5K and now probably have 15K on them and have no complaints. One thing I noticed is the TOYO tires are a harder compound and don't get as much road rash when I am offroad in my F250 and they roll easier on pavement then the Nitto's did. These are 305/55R 20 Load Range E but I believe they now can be had in Load Range F.

I have the Cooper Discoverer STT on the F250.

Love them.
