Does anyone know if the Mule Deer rut has started near Tucson?

I grew up hunting the tortilitas 37a and from Christmas to about second week in Jan was always great. That was 20 yrs ago though.

Its starting to get good. The last few days Ive seen mature bucks on the move to find does and today I saw a really good buck pushing a doe. Should only get better from here until the end of the month

Just talked to someone who is in central AZ bowhunting and he said the bucks he is seeing are by themselves and the does have no bucks with them.

Honestly, shittiest rut I've seen in the passed 4 years. But maybe it's just me.

In 37b bucks were together, or by them self.

I'm chasing bucks in 20b. All but one buck has been with does. No sniffing or pushing but they started scraping the ocotillos good last couple days.

Was in 23 yesterday saw 35 deer. 5 groups of does with no bucks and a lone 2x3. Hard for them to want to rut when it's 70 degrees out there.

Area around 3 points still has a few smaller bucks together. One decent 3x3 was scraping but also had 2 other bucks with him and does. One big wide wounded buck(couldn't tell if it was from a shot or fight) was solo. Made a failed stalk on a nice broken buck, his right side was a nice 4 and left side was broken down to a 2.
