I'm just wondering who pays for it all?

The original transplant of elk into Arizona was funded by the ELKs lodge of Yuma. Just a little trivia.

Those dead elk feed the coyotes, foxes birds and bugs in Az, so are they truly lost?

Sweating the small stuff is what game and fish is all about. Lost revenue is lost revenue.

If you want more elk in AZ stop killing all the baby makers. I can only guess the people that are not liking these AZ elk being sent to WV are also against the killing of cow elk. I once read that a cow on average produces between 7-10 elk. Want to make a difference? There is your chance.

Which came first the chicken or the egg? So how many elk does a bull make?

I don't think anyone on this thread was dead set against it, just questioning the economics involved. That's all. Against the killing of cow elk..lmao not sure where you came up with that analogy.

The G&F will still sell the same amount of tags, so no money is lost. The (heard) lol will recover. Socializm is the problem. We give those hillbillys some elk and they get a taste of it and then they decide to move to AZ to get some moo o that good free stuff. And them thar coal miners daughters will proliferate all over our state. ^_^

I hope so. My son could use a good hillbilly girl to keep him in line...

Free-ranging elk herds are already established and being hunted in Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Some monsters have come out of Pennsylvania.
