Anyone HAM hunting?

Recommended Posts

Headed out to 37a for a couple days with my .243 Cva Scout and will take my Glock 21 as a backup. Would like to get out a few more days but my work schedule isn't looking so good.

How's the recoil on that thing in 243?

I am currently shooting a 58 grain bullet so the recoil is not terrible. When shooting a heavier bullet it does get a little more uncomfortable though.

My wife will be hunting in 37B this weekend with a Savage Striker 6.5 Creedmoor.

What power is the scope on there?

4x12 power scope

Hoping for a repeat of 2 years ago except for the part where Luke forgot his water and lost his watch.

37B. Same area we tagged out in last year. Going to try my luck with a bow this year. If all else fails, hopefully the 1911 won't.....

Dang, maybe I'll forego the .44 and bring my 1911 now.

Mine's chambered in .45 Winchester Magnum.

It would be kinda cool if they added shotguns to the HAM hunt. Call it HAMS or SHAM or MASH. Anyways, putting a slug in one from a shotgun sounds fun!

I have always thought buckshot would do a fine job.

Any of you guys looked at the new Ruger 1911 frame 10? I think I'm getting one. A lot of gun for the money. IMO

It's on my short list. I've got a ruger 1911 45, love it.
