Trout from Big Lake like this (this one is a cuttbow I think) are a blast to catch on light tackle when the ice first melts and the water is cold.  Feels like a much bigger fish when they bite!  There are much bigger ones in there than this.  Good Times.

  • Interests:Our family enjoys shed hunting, glassing, hunting, fishing, hiking, etc. We are an outdoor family. I ( wife) am the avid shed hunter. It is a huge passion of mine, and I do it every chance I get.

Perhaps the light tackle is where im going wrong. Had 4 small hits on power bait yesterday and no fish. You guys ever use mouse tails? Saw some YouTube vids.

my youngest and i pool jump all along haigler. He bought some last time we refilled the tackle box and he kills it those things. I would have never thought. Its not the stockers either. Natives and browns. Craziest thing.

No matter how responsible he seems, never give your gun to a monkey
