Boneless trout filet

I guess your trout need to be big enough to fillet. Video doesnt apply to me.

Just did a bunch of stockers. It works on smaller ones just a bit tedious though. Still worth it to me because I'll here whining of the bones are in there.

I've been filleting my trout forever just like a bass. I definitely will give this a try to see if it's any easier than my way. Thanks for sharing. :)

Didnt see the vid (ghetto laptop wont show vids) but i debone and keep the fish whole ie; skin/head/fins still attached, makes for better flavor and easy to stuff with mushrooms/crab meat,etc...

I'll need to try this one.

 

I normally brine and smoke them whole. After it's been on the smoker for a while and is half cooked but still holding together, I reach in and snip the spine at the neck and tail with fingernail scissors and pull the spine out whole. Works pretty well.
