I do like the terminator, plus side is buying formed Lapua brass from Shawn.

400-600 rounds a year guys. Any of the above are only going to last 2 years.

My vote is something like 6.5 SLR, .260AI, 6.5x47L, 6.5CM, .260Rem, 6.5x55AI, 6.5x55 Swede, etc.

A Proof would be a tough pill to swallow for me to shoot out in 2 years. You should buy 2 steel barrels and have them both chambered now for a fast 6.5.

Would a #4 contour handle a fast 6.5?

For you creedmoor guys using Lapua brass, are you able to lean on it and see a noticeable difference in velocity over LRP brass?

Concerning 260ai where you can stuff it full of rl26, is that harder on throats than a stiff charge of 4350?

6.5 PRC or 6.5 SS

If I was putting that much $$ into a build , I wouldn't build a CM or a 260. ( I do like both of those calibers, just would want a lil more horsepower)

You can always develop a mild practice load and a hotter one to hunt with.

Disclaimer!!

I have very little experience with custom rifles or reloading. But, I do enjoy watching others spend a lot of money on cool rifles.

I would say 6.5x55 or AI if it will fit in the short action with enough room for long bullets.

Old school for the win.

Ive got a 6.5 creedmoor currently, by the time i have everything I need for this one I will have a 7ss as well.

So maybe a 260ai, 7ss, and rebarrel current creedmoor to a 22 creedmoor?

Always enjoy hearing opinions and debates from you guys. In the end its all just money and fun but a guy can only watch lance build so many cool rifles until he has to build his own 🤣🤣
