CatfishKev Report post Posted June 21, 2018 Tigers are the cheapest and fastest to get into one. When i have my bait out i crank the drag way off so they can run with it, then if i have a good run ill try and set the hook and crank it down quick while reeling in. I think they are 15lb test which is ok to start but I'd upgrade to 30lb braid. That being said my favorite set up is a "big game" rod and an Okuma avenger. The avenger has a bait click switch where it allows the fish to run off with your bait and then you just pick it up and start reeling in. It's like a secondary drag just for your bait.
