I put one in the shopping cart based on everyone's responses here but not sure what to do next. I have never bought a suppressor before but I recently bought an AR and want to set it up for varmint calling. What next? Do I have to apply for a permit now? Does it even make sense for me to buy this before I have a permit? I live in nw part of valley. I should change my handle to newb. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I hope your son gets a big ol tom.

Thanks for the responses people have sent me so far. I reached out to Mike Furr already and was told they only work in immediate Flagstaff area. I will contact Jeff Knorr today. When we started this whole process about 4 years ago, we found out contractors were a year or more out. It's disappointing news but not surprising. Keep the recommendations coming. John 623-680-4458

I have two Dave Smith hens and one tom decoy. I will sale all 3 for $200 cash(no cash apps). They each come with a carry bag and are in great condition. I can send pics later this afternoon but you can do a google search on these decoys. John 623-680-4458 best to text first North Peoria

I am currently in final stages of plans for a cabin build at Mormon lake. Should be submitting plans for septic permit in next week or two. I am looking for a reputable general contractor with references in the flagstaff/mormon lake area. If you know of anyone, please let me know or give them my contact info. Best to text first as I normally don't reply to numbers that I don't recognize. thanks John 623-680-4458 Peoria

I just don't get some people.

I plan on going in 2.5 years when I have 15 points. I hope everything will have recovered by then and we have no die offs in between. I went once before in 2011 and it was a very short & successful archery hunt. The rut was amazing and want to experience that again. Next time I plan to use a decoy.

Congratulations. When toms are gobbling and responding to calls, it is probably 2nd only to bugling bulls for adrenalin rush. Varmint calling is a very close 3rd.

Jeeps are a dime a dozen and what you have is truly unique. I would hold on to it for at least a little while longer and come back down to earth. That's a real head turner or as someone already said, "tit city".

I'm an ASU grad but I feel like I can hold my head high and root for UofA since my four kids and all my money went to the dirty T.

I had the hunt in 2000. Like already said, there are antelope throughout most of the unit. While scouting, cameras or hunting, but I am not sure if I ever saw a buck that would go over 82". The year before I drew there was a buck killed that supposedly scored in the upper 80's near poor farm. Congratulations on beating the odds. Personally, I love hearing stories like yours. Good Luck

Keeping fingers crossed for a 2024 ABA Bowhunter Happening someplace this summer. Their website still has last summer info on there.

Non-Residents almost always get their allotted 5% of tags for early archery and premium gun/muzzy hunts. NR's typically have substantially more points than residents in the 20% pool plus g&F likes their $. If you look in the stats, they do very well in the random draw too to get their remaining 5% allotment. Happy Hunting

There is a picture in the gas station/store at Clints Wells with a guy and a huge boar he killed. The picture has been there since at least 1984.

Wild burros are taking over everything north of west valley and lake pleasant area. They are on east and west side of I-17. Before they banned cameras, I had some pictures of wild burros coming into a tank north of clear creek canyon in 6a.
