@dnorr91 i am thinking about doing the same for next year, maybe a southern unit with my son. Sounds like there are a lot more deer down there but i did find some bucks in 24A so we will see.
-
I did manage to fill my tag on the 5th day right before i had to head home. i found several bucks opening day, missed one at 450 yards and didn't see another buck for 2 days, then i stumbled upon one walking back to my RZR and missed him at probably 50 yards off hand, that was a surprise as i expected him to drop when i pulled the trigger but no he looked around for a second and ran off, all i could do was laugh. The last day i set out for the same mountainside that i had missed the first buck on, this time i was packing a different rifle since i had missed twice with the other one, around 11:00 AM a small buck with a doe walked out onto the hillside, one shot from my new 6.5 PRC and i had filled my first Coues tag, i didn't get back to camp until almost dark as i was a ways in there but a super fun solo hunt for sure.

I am trying my hand at 24A this year as well 11/10 opener, doing the same as you lots of e scouting with on x. A couple of trips with the wife to do some glassing and i still am not sure where i will end up going, other than i know i plan to hunt the north / North east side of the unit. I am on my fifth year of trying to get a Coues, these guys are kicking my ***. I am originally from Colorado, so mule deer country for me, i think i am just looking in the wrong areas, cause i keep finding Coues does and mule deer does. I will figure it out one of these days...i hope.

Im getting a lot of questions on why i am selling this, my daughter is getting married in 2 weeks and some of the prices have increased so i could really use the cash.
-
I dont really know, i used 3 shots to get sighted in and the 4th and 5th shot were probably a 1.25 inch group. I generally try to do 3-5 shot groups but i was working on loads for my sons 7x57 on that day.

I have a pretty much new vanguard bronze in 6.5 prc i need to sell. Purchased it from a local ffl dealer that had it on consignment. I paid $750 and added the Talley rings, shot it a total of 5 times to sight it in. Scope is not included but rings and the remaining hornady ammo are included for $700.

New box of Hornady .25 caliber eldx bullets $45 located in Surprise

I am west Surprise so thats a bit of a drive, i might order both and send back which ever ones i like the least. Thanks for the offer though

Thats true, those vents might be well worth it in the early season. I do like the pocket layout better on the Kuiu, just need to talk myself into one or the other.
-
Good to know, i’m not sure the Kuiu are worth an additional $40. I may order some of the sawbucks, i did a little online research and everything sounds positive
-
Has anyone tried either of these brush pants, either the Kuiu Pro Brush or First Lite Sawbuck? Leaning towards the sawbuck but wanted to see if any one else was using them for quail and deer hunting, if so what do you like / dislike?

The 110 Accubonds were by far the best shooting loads i had for it, do your part and they would all be touching at 100 yards, probably 1" groups at 300. It was always very accurate for me.
