This year my papa my uncle and me all put in for the mule deer hunt in 24a November and all of us got drawn.Opening morning we went to a place where my papa and my uncle went deer hunting in December and seen really nice mule deer bucks so we went in there opening morning and there was already someone in there so we just turned around and went back and went to a different spot and when we were on our way down one of the roads and spotted a mule deer doe about 40 yards off the road and it kept looking back and so we figured that there was more so me and my dad went up the hill and sure enough there was more deer but they were all does so we went back and ate lunch and we went back out and we spotted some off of the road and chased after them and i shot at a nice 3 point mule deer and barely missed him but when he took off and then my uncle shot at a 2 by 1 and he hit him and we lost his blood trail so we went in there this morning we spotted a group of mule deer and I took a shot at a little spike and i hit him perfect but he was quartering away and it went in right behind is shoulder and it came out it sternum I shot him at 172 yards .One shot one kill .When we went to get it it face planted it in a cactus so then my cousin Tony called to us on the radio that they spotted more deer and the one that my uncle hit the day before was in there and it as limping and then the one that I shot at was also in there but my papa could'nt get a shot at them and then we went back into town and took care of the meat .My dad Arizona Elite Freak will post pics later.

thank you all for looking at my story it was one of the longest stories i've wrote it took me alot of time to write it.

my name is arizonaelitefreak on here Im posting this for my 10 year old son! He wanted his own screen name! it is a story about his very first deer hunt. My post on the same subject was hijacked and ruined if you have a problem with his story written in his words please pm me and we can discuss it! thank you! arizonaelitefreak Hi, my name is Andrew and I had the November/December 24a coues hunt ! The first day we went out we split up. Me and my dad went together and my sister went with my papa. We went to the left they went to the right of where we parked! Me and my dad set up our glasses, right away as soon as the sun came up a really big buck stood up and we said holy c$@p! ( at the beginning of the hunt me and my sister agreed to let my dad shoot a big one if we saw one only because he has never taken one that was over a 2pt.) So he set up the claw and got ready for the shot first two he missed, then my papa and sister found us, and my papa got us a lot closer my dad set up again (on the claw) and he shot and dropped him! He fell behind a tree. Didn’t come out! 4 more bucks came out that were with him, so they got my sister set up she also missed 2 times but they got her adjusted and she hit her deer and it dropped! He stood back up and she shot again this time for good! So they got me set up and I missed but the next 2 were hits, then he went into a clump of brush. We watched for almost a hour and he never came out. So then we went to go get the 3 deer and man was it freakin rough! We got almost to where my dads deer was and we saw a deer, it was the one my dad had shot so he shot him again and he was down for good! So we got to his and he got to work . Me my papa and my sister then went to get hers, got hers situated then went to look for mine followed the blood for a while all the way into the clump of brush and no deer! Shortly after that we lost the blood! So my uncle david woke up that day and said to my cousins ”lets go out and see if those guys need help!he found us and like saved out butts specially my papa’s cuz he was cramping up bad! So the next 2 days we went to the same spot to see if we could find my deer but we didn’t see him or the birds or nothing! So my dad and Uncle Shelvin convinced my nana into letting me stay out of school on Monday! I wanted to go to a different area! We got to the spot and the wind was wrong and the sun was in our eyes and my dad asked me what I wanted to do! I sad lets glass the other side of the highway. My dad threw up his glasses and there was a buck in the middle of them so me and my papa went after him while my dad stayed and spotted for us! I hit him once in the lung and it went trough the stomach and broke the leg! Then he grunted at us, me and my papa were only about ten yards from him and I hit him in the neck and he dropped! My dads buck was a non-typical my sisters is a 2 point and mine was a lil 3 point! I think mine was so young he only had one eyeguard cuz the other one hadn’t grown yet! And that is the story of my 24a coues hunt
