I am newer to the suppressor game, but no I don't. My cans are all steel along with my barrel threads though. I also don't leave them on my rifles. If I did I might use some antiseize. You don't want them loosening up though so I would be cautious about what you used. Loose suppressor = baffle strike potential.

It won't reduce recoil as much a most brakes, but it does reduce recoil. Your point of impact with and without the brake will likely shift. So you will have to adjust your scope zero. You MAY have to tweak your load a little if accuracy changes, but not always. My 300 wim mag is more accurate with the can vs. The brake. You can shoot subs or supersonic thru the can as long as they are 30 cal or less in diameter. I shoot some subs thru a 7.62x39 AR that are pretty quite with the can on. You can avoid the supersonic Crack with bullets above about 1050fps, but it muffles the sound alot and changes the tone quite abit.

If your barrel is threaded you can just directly thread it on your muzzle. The EVO comes with both a 5/8"×24 and 1/2×28 adapter. If you wanted to do a quick mount like ASR or Keymo that would require more parts and pieces for your rifle and the suppressor. I have 1 suppressor with Keymo quick mount, but that is mainly for AR15 type platforms. On my bolt action rifles I just use direct thread to the barrel.

The barrel length restrictions are there because if the barrelnis to short to burn all the powder the suppressor becomes part of a blast chamber with burning powder and it is not rated for pressure like that and the abuse. I have shot my EVO on my 300 win mag with 24" barrel with no problem.

Hi, where are you located?

Location?

Since it is realistically a 300 yard gun, 1 MOA is plenty.

Let me know how it shoots. I am hoping my barrel shows up from Shaw soon. I am looking for stocks and if this lines up right maybe I will have it done in time for bear season and elk season.

I have a pretty old one. The side button is where the selection on mine is done. The hammer doesn't have anything to do with barrel selection on mine.

Healys should be getting mine soon to put in Jail.

P.S. if you have not listened to the Vortex Nation Podcast with silencershop.com recently please do. It was enlightening to the fact that I messed up and didn't use their single shot trusts to register my suppressors. I did individual and now I believe that I will have to add them into a trust together which will cost me another $200 each...

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this. They discontinued the EVO which is a shame, but this place has them for a steal of a price on closeout. If you want a light and cheap hunting Can this is a great deal. https://freedom-weapons.com/silencerco-harvester-evo-300-30-caliber-7-62mm/ I already have 2, one for each of my son's hunting rifles. I had wanted 1 for myself, but resisted til I saw this deal. Hope this may help someone jump into suppressors or get a good deal on another. Harley

Beautiful. How is the recoil? I am debating if i want to try and use a light stock or something a little heavier to soak up some recoil.

Hi All, I have an older 110FP 300 win mag that I am planning to covert to 9.3x62. Basically I need to make it work as a 3006. Has anyone done this conversion and help me figure out what I need beside the bolt head? I am seeing that I may have a large hole bolt face and magnum length firing pin, but PTG shows their bolt faces use small firing pin. Do I need a new firing pin too? Thanks Harley
