We were able to get out this afternoon for a quick hunt as luck would have it we glassed up a herd and the stock was on. We cut the distance to 150 yards were I was informed I was making to much noise and would have to stay behind. I actually enjoyed staying back I got to watch her sneak in on the herd she was constantly checking the wind and using her range finder. when she was just about inside her shooting lane of 20 yards one of the pigs must of heard her because it walked around the tree she was behind trying to figure out what was there. She kept calm and did not move it finally went back to the herd, I was a nervous wreck. She worked her way around the tree and I saw her pull back her bow and shoot she turned towards me and gave me a thumbs up. She had had made a perfect shot the pig ran down the hill about a 100 yards and fell over. I was so proud of her she has killed many pigs with a rifle and was determined to get one with her bow. She has been practicing a lot and it all paid off I love the times we get to spend together in the outdoors I hope she keeps letting me hang out with her, they grow up so fast. I am going to take it to the taxidermist in the morning it will be a reminder of one of my coolest days hunting ever
Does anybody know if you are allowed to bring a three-quarter ton truck to Mexico this year were get ready to leave for our deer Hunt and somebody told me you were not allowed to bring a 3/4 truck across the border thanks
If you are traveling INSIDE of the FREE ZONE yes you can bring a 3/4 Ton Truck. If you are traveling OUTSIDE The Free Zone with a 3/4 Ton Truck, make sure, in your Truck Registration, the Weight (GVW) does not exceed 7,716 lbs. If it does exceed the weight you wont be able to take your truck OUTSIDE the Free Zone. If your Truck Registration on the GVW shows 0000 or less than 7,716 lbs you are ok to take your truck outside the Free Zone.
If your truck shows 7,716 lbs on the Registration and that's the only truck you have to take outside the Free Zone, go to your DMV and have them give you another truck Registration that shows no GVW on the Registration.
If you drive a 1/2 truck you have nothing to worry about. On the Following picture...the yellow area is called The Free Zone. Thank you.
My amazing daughter was able to take this bull over the weekend she made a 670 yard shot on this bull. She shot it across a canyon so we had to drive to the other side to retrieve it, then she helped pack it out. She did an amazing job and hiked her but off I'm very proud of her cant wait to do it again
