I appreciate all of the responses. At this time, I have a deal in the works and a back up option, both within my budget.

I think I want to build a 338-06... Looking for a long action 700. I only need the action, but will purchase an entire rifle if needed. Needs to have a standard bolt face (.473") (30-06 sprg, 270 win, etc.) I do have a SA 700 action (RR prefix S/N) that I'd trade if interested. I would consider LA ruger 77s, Win 70s as well. Let me know what you have.
