Success rate for that hunt is actually really high. Sometimes higher than 12aw. You don't see many deer but lots of the ones you do see are killable. One of the best units for super wide bucks. Saw around a 36" wide buck from the main road about 5 years ago during middle of the day. He was just hanging in tall sage. The weekend before the hunt started. Was making a supply run for a 12aw hunt. Scouting is key for the early hunt. Just be careful not to pressure the deer and push them into somewhere you cannot hunt.

It's official! Tag #23. I had 2 points. Forced the draw on this tag last year and struck out. God gave me a chance at redemption.

Up for sale is my Wife’s savage .243 “muddy girl” camo rifle. Comes with sling and bases but no scope. $225. Located at 101/thunderbird. Has about 40 rounds through it and is in great condition. Only carried on one hunt and she dropped one at 200 yards the first hour of the hunt. 602-989-0670

It is all relative but here is his exact quote. "Better turnout than I expected" he has been the main guy for many years up there. Maybe he just expected no one to show up. I know this wont be popular but I would rather pay a little more and not deal with all the people. It got tiresome to wait 30 min to shoot a target. Ive been going there from the beginning and stopped going when it took 4 or 5 hours to do 1 course. Sure it is fun and all but you could spend all day and shoot 20 or 30 arrows. I'm not saying I agree with the drastic price increase but something had to give. Supply and demand at work. I bet it was a quiet and awesome time up there.

This is the Aero version. Very nice, clean, reliable bike. 5729 miles. Paint is in excellent shape. Chrome is almost perfect. Bike has been kept in doors its entire life and never laid down. Bike runs smooth, fires on first try. 52 mpg. You have to see it. Not in a hurry to sell. Just put a brand new mustang seat on it that is excellent for longer trips. I have the windshield and factory seat still as well. Oil changed 500 miles ago. Title in hand. Ready to go. Call, text, or email if interested. 928-386-1123 $3900

Spent the last two days up here in God’s Country enjoying cool weather, long day’s and some beautiful scenery. Got to re-familiarize myself with the roads, talked to the game warden and a couple of landowners. Man’s of course it wouldn’t be a trip without some kind of hassle. Took a rock between the treads on the weak sauce factory tires the rental truck had. I was very disappointed to find that the jack provided by dodge was barely tall enough to raise the truck on perfectly level ground, which this wasn’t. So I spent an hour or so digging a hole with a stick to allow us to put on the spare, which was full-size, but not regular matching tire. It was marked limited-use and was about as thick as a water balloon. I was really worried we Would cut that one trying to get out. Luckily we made it back to the highway, but we did have to cut our scouting a half day short.

Yesterday I went to Timber Mesa Outdoors with the intent to buy a dozen arrows, because I recently killed my backyard wall. I also thought I needed a new sight for additional clearance for longer shooting. Thankfully I was helped by a fellow Coues Whitetail member Junior (Maverick 351). Junior spent almost 2 hours with me getting my bow tuned and properly set up. The service was absolutely Amazing! In fact it was the best service I've ever had at an Archery shop! I didn't even leave with arrows. Junior set me up with 1 arrow to take home and test out to ensure I got the right arrow set up. How many shops would send a guy home with 1 arrow to test when he came in for a dozen? I could tell he truly cared and wanted to help me, not sell me product! I'll be back in a few days for a dozen arrows and all my future bow business! I can't recommend them enough! Adam

This was my dream truck back in the 90’s. heck, I’d still love to have one. Just can’t justify a second crew cab diesel.

Congrats. Could be a great hunt. Had a buddy who drew this tag 2 years ago. Scarce the first half, then the deer started moving through. Killed a big, really old 30"+ heavy beautiful 3x3 on day 8 I think.

Nice bull. From what i’ve seen a lot of bulls are d@mn near finished. I would guess thay they start stripping velvet the first week of august this year. I bet we see some governor and super raffle bulls hit the dirt in the next few weeks

I'll give it a try. I am no connoisseur, or a drunk, but I am a pro.

Well the tag came in the mail today. IDFG also included a nice letter outlining the requirements for reporting, all moose must be checked in with F&G, and suggesting hunting methods and explaining moose behavior. Also got the camp situation figured out today. Picked up a new-to-me 2006 Nomad camper. Should keep us dry and warm. Should start testing moose loads next week while also setting the bow up with heavy arrows/heads.
