I have the Remington UML and I couldn't get it to shoot with BH209, pellets and various bullets. It would keyhole the supplied Barnes bullets with the 777 pellets that Remington recommended load. I sent it to Luke at Arrowhead rifles and he installed his breech plug and a new barrel on it. Now it shoots great with 115 grs by weight of BH209 and 300 gr bullets. I got a bag of the remington UML brass that you can have if you do go that route.

Cause he was about to be disked up. So we grabbed him and put him around a group of them so he would have a chance.

$100 less is not that low ball. $750 is about the discounted price some people get and then he gets a free adapter. It would be a good deal but not ridiculous.

That foundation is what's left of the Ruby Jail. It's a little west of the town. My buddy's Dad used to hit the sauce then have to sleep it off in the can, then he would take him something to eat. I guess the mine at Ruby had it's heyday in the 1920's and 30's.

My prediction is that the average # of BPs required to draw the more desired rifle tags will go down because knowing that left-over tags are (or very soon will be) a thing of the past, many people will abandon the strategy of stockpiling BPs. The choice will no longer between the chance at a “premium” tag and an almost guaranteed leftover but, instead, a choice between the chance at a “premium” tag and not going rifle hunting at all. This may be truer for us older folks though. Now that I’m on the back nine of life, hunting now holds great allure. Waiting 8 years for a “trophy” hunt means I’m hunting with a body that’s 8 years older too. Mind you, I’m still in the fight and try to stay fit but, whether we realize it or not, we’re all fighting the indefensible assault of time. Carpe diem, and all that. Life's short. Hunt hard. Hunt now.

They are sold pending funds. If the sale doesn't go through, I can let you know but there's zero chance of me selling them for $500

For the money and right off the shelf the Tikka is very hard to beat. I have messed with lots of the higher end factory rifles like the Christensen, Cooper and Kimbers. I haven't seen them do anything better than a Tikka that costs half as much. The Tikka will easily be a half moa rifle even with off the shelf ammo. I have yet to mess with one that hasn't shot extremely well. I would drop the $700 on a Tikka and put the rest into a nice piece of glass and skip the lower end glass bit and just be done with it. With a little bit of work, the Tikka can be truly amazing. Here is a five shot group of a load I worked up for a factory off the shelf Tikka T3x in 6.5x55. No bedding, no trigger, just bone stock.

Not looking to fight anything for more than about 30 minutes. That Redfish in my avatar was 30-35 minutes. Watched my son fight a yellowfin that was about 135 for 30 minutes and a bit later my buddys daughter land a marlin after about 45 minutes. At 66 years old I have caught plenty of fish from Tarpon in Puerto Rico to Grayling in Alaska. I just enjoy it for what it is and am trying to fill my bucket list before the sand runs out of my hourglass and enjoy it with as many people as I can. I usually do catch and release for bucket list fish. But to me every fish is a trophy and a memory as are the people who where there at the time or the really special times when it was just me, the rod and the fish.

I can't believe no one wants to buy a $3000 scope for $700 off plus no tax or shipping.
