Same here, about hitting my cab but I have had that thing cocked at some pretty severe angles and it hasnt happened yet.

Let me know if you have any questions. I have the capture plate also. I just need to get it off my 5th wheel.

Does anybody have any experience with a 26 Nosler or done any research on this round? Everything I pull up says this round has as much energy at 1000 yards as a 300RUM. Any information would be helpful. I am thinking of building one off of a Savage 111 action.

I have a brand new Vortex Viper HD 15-45x65 angled spotting scope. Its brand new in the unopened box. I got it for Christmas but want to go a different route. Just looking for opinions on the best spotting scopes out there for under a $1000. I know the Razor can be had for that price through Cameraland but want to hear opinions on all. They also have a Zen Ray for about $800 but i have no experience with that brand. The Vortex Viper HD looks tempting at the $600 price point too. Lets hear it....

Ya I was thinking about that viper model. I found the 15-45 on a site for $600 and it comes with a cover and vortex tripod. Might try it and see if I like. Just to get by for a couple years

I understand what you all are saying. I have done it the long way before I ended up with my Swaros 10s and 15s but this would be a gift and that's the budget to work with.. So back to the original question....
