  1. That’s very nice of you. It might be hard to get rid of it even though it’s free and in good shape. It’s not the grey color that everyone has to put in their house because they saw it on tv.

    Fishermen nearly won a tournament

They were incredibly stupid. I’m not a real fisherman, but I know what big fish are. The biggest I ever caught was a little over 5 pounds and it was the most impressive thing to me for a while. They added around 8 pounds of weight. They really must have chit for brains to think they could put that much weight past pro fisherman that know way more than a regular guy like me. Part of the punishment for them should be getting their head examined and followed up with a procedure or counseling to help them better understand how dumb that really was.

    East valley plumber needed

I agree. We did a whole job in pro press and it’s code legal and holds up to this day. If the looks of it bothers you, I understand. Maybe cover it with insulation since it’s a small area. If you do a good job with wrapped insulation, it will still be a looker.

    Annealing??

Sometimes the micro size cases can be difficult. Here are some of my K Hornets. IMG_0114.MOV
  6. I recently purchased the Steiner Predator 4 in 4-16 x 50. I was planning on putting it on a AR Varminter but changed my mind. I already have a Meopta FFP on an AR that’s real similar, so it would be kind of a bad idea. My plan now is to put it on my 223 bolt m700 when I get it rebarreled in about a year and use the Leupold Vari x III 3-15x50 that’s on it to put on the Varminter. The Steiner looks to be a good scope. I don’t think I will ever go with Vortex. I know a lot of people that like them, I just don’t have the respect for them yet. I see them as a company that has its success from marketing rather than reputation. Vortex was kind of pushed onto us I think. Camera land had a special where a new Steiner scope came with good quality rings. Keep a look out for that.

    Badgers, anyone?

They’re one of the few animals I don’t shoot. I don’t have a problem with those that do, it’s just not for me for some reason.

    SOLD!

I had a Black 2003 F 150 4 door XLT 4x4 with the 4.6L with 191,000 miles. I was the original owner. I regret trading it in. It was my first new vehicle and I was making good money at the time and went overboard with its maintenance. So overboard that I would put a new battery every two years weather it needed it or not and it never had any door dings or interior mess. It was a real cherry truck. I got $5750 at trade in in 2015 for a 2016 Sierra.
  10. Big Daddy’s looks good. Cibo does too, but I think they left a lot of the pizza makin ingredients off of their pizza. They left out a good 1 3/4” of cheese and other items off of the edge. No big deal, still looks good, everyone makes mistakes and it would be something to ask for on the next order with them.
  11. I honestly hope this sells. With 181,000 miles, It really makes me feel so much better about how much value is left in my two trucks.
  12. Like I said, pizza for me is ok anyway. Honestly it’s kind of boring and like you said disheartening from the start. I’m no longer excited about pizza anyway and haven’t been for a while. Part of me expects it to be bland from the beginning but it’s never so bad I can’t handle it. If it’s too bad, it’s easier for me to forget it. I love Italian food, but I would rather get something else Italian than a pizza. I get real disheartened when I’m around a bad taco or beans, even a tortillia that’s not up to par can really bother me like you are talking. I guess it’s 43years of hanging out with, dating, and getting invited over for supper with different Mexicans has made me very picky of what’s good out there. Rarely is pizza talked about any more but we still talk about items like Tortas, Pasole and Tamales. When I’m other places that are known for having good Pizza, then I will take notice and be serious about where I get my pizza.
  13. Ok. Three in the whole state. You would be surprised what Detroit can do. Someone from Italy like yourself probably find over a dozen places that meet your requirements over there. Pizza is hard to dislike. Even a bad pizza is still ok with me. I’m not too picky when it comes to pizza. I’m very picky with Mexican food which we have plenty of good places. It’s geography. We just don’t have a lot of good Pizza or Seafood. At least nothing like our Mexican food. You can go to any small or large town and find real good Mexican food. Try asking who has the best Mexican food in Globe and see what kind of response you get. Then ask where the best pizza there is.
  14. Probably Pizzeria Bianco. I tried waiting there a few different times and lost patience. I just can’t wait that long to sit at a Restaurant. I know a wait is expected anywhere you go in the evenings an I’m okay with up to maybe 40 minutes, but longer is a out and out waste of time. One time, I had family go there and asked them to bring me back some. It was good, but not to die for. I remember they wouldn’t make a pepperoni pizza and I thought that was very unusual. They were good at making designer pizzas with about 4 globs of that special cheese on it that everyone on tv says you should like. Arizona just doesn’t have good pizza. You will need to go to Detroit for that. Most people like thin crust anymore or the deep dish that is square. About the only thing that will come close I found is Jett’s Pizza and they have 2 or 3 in the valley and they might have hand tossed and if they do, I bet it would be as good as anywhere.

    Case stuck in chamber- Help!!

One thing I learned is to try your upper on a proven lower. That will tell you if it’s a buffer issue. I didn’t do that and bought a few different buffers and weights and played with them. Nothing worked so I tried a proven lower and it didn’t work. The lower definitely worked with the other upper flawlessly, so it had to be a gas issue. Mine wasn’t adjustable with a block, so I sent it to the manufacturer and was told the gas port was too small and they fixed it. Now it runs very well. It’s something you can do without sending it back, all it is is drilling a bigger hole, but make sure you don’t drill too big. The good thing about ARs is that the information about the gas ports are all over the interwebs and videos are out there about this exact thing.

Need to rent size 14 cowboy boot 😂😂

Or just don’t get them and wear normal dress shoes or something else that goes with what you’re wearing. What adult really cares about footwear anyway? As long as It’s not ridiculous. I think it would be good. Too many times the Millennials or Gen Z have to have their destination wedding with their own unique experience tied to it and it would be nice to let them know it’s not for everyone and maybe they should go modest on their first or second marriage.

    RIP 4A

I went out to 4A today because I drew the deer permit and had to check out the note 35 in the regulations that was part of this hunt. 35. The O’Haco Ranch is located in the north-central part of Unit 4A, just north of the Apache-Sitgreaves National For- est. The O’Haco Ranch is in the process of constructing a wind farm. During construction of the wind turbines, the O’Haco Ranch will not permit access to hunters. Construction is scheduled to occur for the duration of the 2022 hunt- ing season. I was lucky enough to be raised in Holbrook and can remember how nice this area is. Now it’s going be be gone soon. I wasn’t really planning on hunting this area, but I like to shed hunt and check it out. There are so many new roads it’s not even funny. It seems like all of may favorite places are disappearing every year. I lost the Pink cliffs to wind turbines and part of unit two will be lost to Potash in the future now this. Even when the wind turbines are finished it will not feel like the same place since it will be so busy with the operations and scattered people and activity.

    RIP 4A

I see coal and natural gas operations kind of the same way. My dad and grandfather were both in fossil fuels, dad in coal generation and grandpa in natural gas. What I see with the solar and wind is people, mainly the left can support them unconditionally. I actually agree with wind and solar with simple conditions. Put the turbines up in town or next to agriculture where we already fuked it up. Put the wind turbines in our Right of Ways on 200’ centers and that’s a good use of space to me. The positive thing there is the need for the power generated is right next to the turbines, not like they are now dozens of miles away and with a lot of lost power due to the distance. Don’t put them out where it’s nice. I don’t care if it’s private or public. There are lots of things I can’t do with my private land, what’s the big deal with that? With solar, make it a new building code to have solar on every new home being built and I would be okay with that. It would be better than losing 4000+ acres every 4 years to a solar farm in an area that’s better off for Antelope or Elk than generating power.

    Taxidermy Collection Found On Craigslist

I think it’s normal. When you think about it, there’s no one out there that thinks your mounts are cool except you and maybe 1% of those on the web. Family will definitely support you having them, but they don’t think they are needed to make a room grand or keep any sort of memories alive so when you’re gone, they’re gone. I’m sure his family had this conversation more than once. I fully expect my stuff to be gotten rid of when I depart. As cool as my guns and outdoor items and gobs of reloading equipment are to me, I expect them to be gone within a few months of my death since no one in the family or my group of friends have the square footage or love for any of that stuff. Part of me actually supports that happening. Time for them to move on. It’s kind of like a family member dying and me inheriting a lot of fine China, abstract art, or book collections. Sorry. I loved them, but I’m not into that stuff.

    Different brass question

Just like you said, full length, chamfer and go. For the next loads, I will anneal and bump shoulder, neck size, expand then I will neck turn, chamfer and load. Chamfer helps with the flat base Bergers and it’s not really necessary for boat tails. I used to mess with pockets and flash hole prep, but I didn’t see any advantage in my grouping where I did with annealing and neck turning. At least nothing noticeable with the Lapua brass, others, yes. Cleaning, I always use a sonic cleaner because it’s the right size for up to 200 pieces and that’s about what I load in one sitting. Shininess is not the most important thing to me, but the lube needs to be cleaned off. Before I charge powder, I brush the inside of the necks with a 22 cal cleaning brush on a case prep center. I feel the annealing, turning and brushing are important tasks for consistent neck tension. I have had luck with halfway full length sizing. Make sure you check measurements as you go on the brass because I have seen some vary mor than .004 before. You may want to checkout the dies they have now. In the past year, I replaced a lot of the ones I have with interchangeable bushings for seating and sizing and they work better than the old RCBS or conventional Redding or lee of yesteryear. I won’t claim to know everything, I am looking to expand just like you.

    Different brass question

Get Lapua brass whenever that’s possible, but Lapua doesn’t make everything. There is no better brass out there. Well some come close. I can’t get Lapua in 22 Hornet so I bought 4 different brands to fire form my 22 K Hornet. Of the 4, Hornady was the only one where 100% survived the fire forming. Nosler was the worst at about 50%. I stocked up on a lot of 223 cartridges a few years back and have about 5 different head stamps in multiples of a few hundred. 223 happens to be my favorite in a bolt action and it’s not unusual for me to go through 400 in a few weeks, I just enjoy it that much. Lapua has always been the most accurate, dependable, and longest lasting with about 10 loads so far on one set I have of 100, and a few hundred other Lapua are holding up to loads and accuracy as well as can be expected. All of the others, even with my best prep, loading and careful shooting leaves a lot to be desired in accuracy. I would say the best thing is to scrap all other brass and use Lapua only. It took me a lot of experimenting to figure that out, but it will be money well spent.

    Leupold Problem..Maybe

Leupold is a set it and leave it scope and they are great for that. If dials are desired, pick something else. I too have had problems with the vx6. I have a Schmidt & Bender and it has never had a problem with dialing. I hear Nightforce is good, but I can’t comment on them because I don’t have one yet, I may get one for my next dialed scope, not sure yet since S&B has proven themselves to me.

Any St Johns guys on here?

I went to the gun show there today. Kind of mediocre but still fun. Those small town shows have a different yet better feeling than the big city ones. Good luck if you have the September any elk hunt. If that’s why you ask. I’m checking places too.
