  2. Have any of you tried the Colorado Over the counter elk hunt? I am considering organizing a trip this fall. (After not getting drawn for elk again, starting to get frustrated) any suggestions? I am looking at the 2nd or 3rd season rifle hunts. I have read quite a few articles on the hunt that basically say there are alot of hunters, but not many willing to venture off the beaten path... any tips or anyone with experience with this hunt??

  3. My first muley buck…

Those of you that have hunted 22 in the early rifle hunt understand that hunting with 700 tags is a tough job! I experienced the same thing, the deer were so scattered and jittery it made successful hunting nearly impossible, I guess that is why the success rate is less than 15% for this particular hunt.

After 4 long days of hunting I decided to give the experts at AZ ground and pound outfitters a call. Levi was my guide and the tips and guidance he gave me helped me become one of those 15% or so to land a buck! Levi not only helped me scout, glass, stalk, and more, he taught me hunting lessons that will last a lifetime. Special thanks to Levi at Ground and pound outfitters, if you are looking for a good guide that knows hunting… GIVE THESE GUYS A CALL you wont be disappointed. Thanks again guys!
