Dudes out there cutting up tires and feeding animals they hunting and im out here thinking about shooting a spike on day 2. Mfers need to get lives no body thinks killing big sh1t is even cool

I mean, I don’t go out looking for the smallest buck I can find. I think shooting a big buck is pretty cool.  But what I consider a “big buck” would probably be passed up by trophy hunters also so 🤷🏻‍♂️

  2. Took my daughter out to look around last weekend. There was a good storm that made the washes run the afternoon before so no deer or deer tracks to be found. We found a couple coveys of quail and I shot 6. I could’ve shot more but the population is so poor this year I chose to let the rest be. Had I been solo I wouldn’t have shot any but my little girl wanted to eat a few for dinner. Speaking of eating, we cooked some hot dogs together over a fire for lunch and just enjoyed being in the desert together! I am so happy she enjoys the outdoors and I cherish our time out there, It just blows me away how fast our kids grow.

hopefully, some of you have been out and finding some good bucks.

  3. A buddy and I went out striper fishing down here in Yuma a couple days ago. We ended up with 9 solid ones and let some of the smaller ones go. We also caught a 12lb limit of smallies. Fun time on the water.

I saw that. Wouldn't 8 pounds worth be way overly obvious? Seemed like a set up of some sort..

These guys have been winning all sorts of tournaments there the last couple years. They won $300k last year and one of them won a boat valued as $150k. If you watch some of the videos, you can see that they used filleted walleye to help the fish “swallow” the weights.

These guys have passed lie detector tests in the past but they also failed a test one time which led to them being DQ’d. A lot of the other anglers suspected they were cheating but had no proof. The kicker is, in that video, they had 30+lbs of fish and 2nd place only had 16. I read that had they not added weights, their limit would’ve still weighed more than the 16lbs. They essentially cheated for no reason in this tournament.

  5. I won’t be able to hit the desert until the weekend quail season opens. It’s killing me to not go out there but the hot weather has kept me from wanting to get after it recently and the next two weekends we have stuff going on family wise. Oh well, those deer aren’t going no where.

I didn't post my antelope New Mexico hunt this year.  But Ill add to this thread.  Opening morning we spotted a nice Buck a mile out.  My hunting buddy went after him after he bed.  He got in a good shooting position at 300 yards.  Once he stood he radio and said ok, then dust and a shot ranged out.  I couldn't believe he missed at 300 yards in a prone position.  He radioed me and said "thats not me shooting".  What???  The buck ran toward him to 160 yards and stopped.  He radioed and said should I shoot him.  I said Im not sure if we should do that.  Then bam!  Dead buck.  He radioed and said it wasn't me.  Another hunter bedded this buck last night and didn't see me hunting partner.  He shot from 600 yards.  When the hunter walked out to it my hunting partner stood up.  He was shocked to see him and my partner said he was right there and walked a mile to him.  He was totally cool with the other hunter and he was very grateful.  It was his first antelope hunt and put some major work to make this buck happen.  Said he had no idea that my partner was there.  He was very grateful he didn't shoot it.  Apparently a couple years ago he shot a really nice bull and it limp off or about to die.  Another hunter saw it and ran up to the elk and shot it and tried to put his tag on it while knowing what just happen.  They got into it with the guy but lucky game and fish saw the whole thing and gave him the bull elk.  So if my hunting partner was a D Bag and shot it it would of gave him PTSD about his last hunt!!  Lol.  But it was cool to see it all go down from my side on a spotter a mile away

Glad your buddy didn't get shot himself if that guy happened to miss or if your buddy was in the crossfire. That could be scary.
