    Unit 33

Awesome bucks! Congratulations to your hunters 33 doesn't have 100% draw odds. So posting what unit these bucks came out of only hurts guys who try to hunt it on a regular basis. So out of respect to those who don't profit off of it, keep it to yourself. Thanks.
  2. How'd I miss this deer?? Wow. Incredible buck and congratulations.

Anyone know this guy on camera??

No damage to anything. That's always good. Just hoping to have a reasonable discussion about an area I've put quite a bit of time in.

REWARD OFFERED- TRAIL CAM THIEF IN PIC- REWARD

There are Rule regulating traps and trapping, the one Big one is that the Trapper Must inspect Traps Daily ... If you have ever seen Game Cameras From G&F or NFS you will see them in Steel Boxes Clearly Labeled as State or Govt. Property ... They are often on posts in plain sight and I have yet to see a single one bolted to a live tree, if they are on a tree they are strapped. I am sure plenty of douche bags vandalize them as well, the Difference being, we all get to pay to replace them... I am not saying they are not thieves, or people just picking up litter... I am saying that any individual making the economic decision to leave their own private property unattended on public land should account for the possibility of such douche bags and not whine when they disappear. Heck, even the days where you can leave much behind at a camp seems to be long past. We often bring a camp troll , or secure and lock everything of value when leaving camp. It did not use to be that way and sucks that so many douche bags exist and are out looking to take advantages of hard working people, but that is the reality.

REWARD OFFERED- TRAIL CAM THIEF IN PIC- REWARD

Str8Shot, Your solution sounds a lot like the lefts answer to gun violence. Clearly the cameras are the problem, not the thieves. It's obvious, you don't like cameras. We get that. You (and a couple others) are the only ones that beat that horse. Right now they're legal and if any specific district does have regulations on them, they're too vague for a literal guy like yourself to care so much. Go hunting, bud.

    2015 Late Bull Video

Nice job! I agree, music was silly. We're hunting, not banging our heads or weights in the gym.

This is the BS that needs to stop!

Anything is possible, but most non-hunter hikers don't have the stomach to decapitate a critter... I'm thinking this is a "if you hear hoof beats, don't think Zebra!" kinda scenario. It's most likely exactly what it seems, some weekend warrior shot a deer than either didnt know what to do with it so they just took the head or the just flat didn't care. Either way, es no bueno for the image of hunters. Careful....wknd warriors have a right to be in the field, too. Lark might take offense to your stereotype. Clearly it's guides that are the problem. I'm sure it was a high paying client who had help from above, only to radio to the "hunter" the bucks location. But after ground checking the buck did the hunter and cohort realize that they always look bigger from the sky. Or.....its some moron who has no regard for the animal or the law. If I were a bettin' man

Does Working Out Help You Hunt Better?

This is an older topic but something I've found interesting as of lately. To echo WHT_MTNMAN: Hunting can be easier....if you're simply in better shape. But there's no substitute to what's gained with time spent in the field. Period. I know a former professional MMA fighter who loves to hunt. He's in his late 30's and far from past his prime. He's in incredible shape. INCREDIBLE! But he's an average hunter. In fact, I know more "out of shape" hunters who are far better hunters than he is. Nothing against him, it's just where he chooses to spend his time. Let's not confuse gym rats who hunt......with those who are arguably "better hunters".

    Swarovski Customer Service

I'd say the only problem with Swarovski is they're not consistent. Some guys drop their binos and spend $300 on new lenses. Other guys get them run over by a truck and they have a free replacement within a week. It all depends on the CSR you talk to that day. But that might be the same everywhere. Swaro is all I own
  16. I pack water for myself, lark. I don't need approval from some outfitter, podcast or IG hero. Where am I supposed to run to? You throw around your opinion, you're pretty adamant with getting an outfitter to respond, so when someone (outfitter or not) shares their opinion and it differs from yours, it's "run along"?? Trphyhntr, you're a funny man. Keep riding the coat-tails of guys who've actually done it. At least online you're a trophy hunter.
  17. You just can't let that go, can you? Even after it was clarified that I was referring to wknd warriors who bend and break rules, it still gets under your skin, huh?. Clearly you misunderstood what I said and a real man would drop it after recognizing that. I've been around quite a few outfitters over the years. A few from this site, others who are not sponsors. I'll say it one more time- outfitters aren't commenting because opinions on social media are meaningless when it comes to this stuff. Chad's a tool, we're all happy he got caught. What business ever prospers from bashing another? I assure you that most don't condone this garbage. Just as most hunters wouldn't.
  18. You referred to a case more than 15 years ago!?? Wasn't that like the late 90s? Ha! At least I went back to 2014. You also referred to a major sting that specifically targeted the commercialization of wildlife. Naturally you're going to see more guides. Do you not see the connection there? Absolutely, every couple of years, a big name guide gets exposed. But how does that compare to the dozens of other non-guides who get busted annually?? Listen, I'm not suggesting that some guide (big name or not) deserves less of a punishment. In fact, because they're capitalizing on wildlife, I think they should get hit much harder than your avg Joe. But let's not exaggerate the facts.
  19. trphyhntr, He asked who they were. I thought posting an actual list would be beneficial. I figured Lark could discern for himself the "big names" that were recently convicted. Congratulations, you found a big name on the list. Now if I could only get Zac to accept my friend request and somehow end up on Jay's podcast I could then be considered one of the elite. Someday......
  20. This one is actually pretty funny.
  21. I agree, we all have a right to be in the field. But that wasn't the point of this discussion. Although there's an amendment to this list, the vast majority of these had their licenses revoked in 2014. Now these are just those who were caught and convicted! Do you know how difficult it is to actually convict someone of a wildlife violation? Ever since the change to this azgfd "portal", I haven't been able to find the current (or former) list of guides for the state of AZ. So I can't confirm 100%....but I''m willing to bet most of these aren't guides. As it states in the image, there are more than 500 individuals who cannot hunt or fish in the state of AZ because of revocations. My point is, I don't recognize any "big names", do you? Have a Merry Christmas, Lark. You're a good old boy who deserves a giant buck on your wall. Good luck in 2016!
