  1. This is probably a long shot, but I was curious if anyone has any extra Cabela’s buck or coupons that seem to be given out a lot at banquets or that come in that mail occasionally. Something like $20 off a purchase of $150. If you have one that you don’t plan to use and would mind passing it along, please let me know. Thanks

Additionally, I should be fair and say that while I am taking my frustration out of you, it is actually to everyone who, like you, likes to come on forums and make similar empty statements of opinion as if they were fact. If you have good information to share, please share it. But comments like the ones I am talking about just make you look small minded and foolish.

I don't open my yap unless I speak from experience friend especially on topics I can contribute too based on experience. This isn't certainly one of them. You should heed the same especially since you don't even own a spotter. Have fun... I never made a claim about anything being the best or "smokes them all" because I don't have the experience or knowledge to back that up. I freely and happily admit that. I do have the knowledge and experience to call someone out when they are clearly full of it and can't back up a claim they made. I have no doubt that you do have a lot of experience and great information to share, so I suggest that you share it. But your original comment is my issue and you have yet to do anything to backup that statement. Waiting....

    Specific Spotting Scope Advice

I don't own a spotter and came into this post looking for opinions as I am considering getting one, your OPINION was the least helpful of anything I read. But since you asked about my optics, I use Swaro 15x56 SLCs for most of my glassing. They are awesome, but I would never be small minded enough to go on to a forum and say they are the best thing out there, smokes everything else, nothing compares, blah, blah, blah. Yes, they are great glass, but I haven't tried EVERYTHING out there so how can I make such a claim? Since you clearly have so much experience, would you mind sharing what other spotters you have compared the Meopta to in a side by side setting, after all you have compared "THEM ALL", or was that just empty bluster? You made a claim that the Meopta "smokes them all" but have offered nothing to back that up. If it is just your narrow minded opinion based up a couple of things you have read, maybe from comparing a couple of spotters in the store, or even 1 or 2 others in the field, your claim is meaningless. Don't be afraid to admit it. It takes a big man to admit that he was wrong.
  5. Good man there and congratulations to the youngster! Be sure to post up some pictures of euro!
  6. About as narrow minded and moronic as your post about the spotters. I assume you have evidence that suggests your "method" of doing nothing is just as good, doesn't shorten barrel life, or decrease accuracy? Probably not, probably just more narrow minded thinking from someone who doesn't realize how little he actually knows.

    Specific Spotting Scope Advice

I mostly just come on here to read and rarely post, but comments like this drive me nuts. I got the impression he was looking for fact based comparisons and examples from first hand experience rather than stupid closed minded opinions presented as fact. So I guess we can assume that you have had "them all" out in the field and done a side by side comparison since the Meopta S2 clearly "smokes them all". If so, let's hear it? If not you might just give your your reasons for your spotter of choice rather than make broad arrogant statements that make you look foolish.

    Card Hit - 2016 style

Sorry, but I don't buy the victim act you are conveying throughout your message bc777. For everyone saying what a big and classy man you are to admit it, a big and classy man wouldn't have stolen the camera (probably cameras) to begin with. Bottom line, you feel bad because you got caught. By your own admission, had you not been caught, you would probably still be stealing cameras.

    Card Hit - 2016 style

a guy who is apparently well known as a cam thief posted on here, all anyone said to him was "congrats on the great buck" Who are you talking about, I've been on this site for many years and probably said congrats to someone who is a thief and didn't realize they were "well known" Idk but my inbox blew up with stories about the guy when I mentioned it. By how people react about cam theft I thought people might want to know he was implicated in some of the theft. No one cared, except the people that PMd me I guessI think a lot of people care. Only most haven't heard the story because the guilty party backed out of the deal to post his confession/apology on here and other places, as he had agreed too. He also backed out of the settlement he agreed to pay. It will all come out soon enough.

    more about atvs

I think I've had all the major brands at one time or another. IMO Polaris is the way to go if you want big, powerful, bells & whistles, etc. If your want super reliable and will run forever, you can't beat Honda. Both are great machines.

    reloader newb

The RCBS Rock Cucker Supreme kit is probably going to be your best bet to get started. If you are patient and watch the sales you can usually pick it up for around $250. They do sales on the kit all the time, probably because they know once they get you hooked, you will eventually spend A LOT more. Once you jump into the reloading rabbit hole, you will likely be into it for well over $1000 by the time you get your setup the way you want it. First things I would recommend you pick up that aren't in the kit are - a small digital scale, Franklin Arsenal makes a good one that is pretty cheap. - a digital caliper, you can get a good one anywhere for under $20.

Let's Make a Deal if you have 12 or More Bonus Points

^^^I rest my case. Why can't you just congratulate a guy and leave it alone? I'll never understand why some of you go out of your way to tear down a fellow hunter. No pictures of my hunts or those of my family will ever be posted in here.

Haven't been a member long, but long enough to identify a few trolls who just hang out in here looking for an opportunity to show the world what d-bags they can be. Just disregard and ignore.

Unless you don't know what you are doing, know the unit, need a guide, etc. Then it might be a really good deal for someone.

    Breaking a new one in?

This is the whole point that I am trying to make. Since you can't really know for certain if it shoots better or not with a thorough break-in, I'd rather play it safe and do the break-in.

    Breaking a new one in?

what risks are involved in "rushing" this process? as long as you don't blast enough rounds back to back to overheat and shoot out the barrel, what risks are involved in not cleaning after every shot? i recently made a big purchase on a LR rifle. i shot about 10 rounds and cleaned it well. i'm on about shot 50 after the initial cleaning and my groups keep getting better every trip to the range (.3 MOA last trip) Who is to say that they might not be grouping even better had you done a more thorough break-in?

    Breaking a new one in?

Lots of differing opinions for sure. I'm usually investing quite a bit of money into a new rifle, developing a load for it, etc. I'm going to shoot quite a few rounds thorough it anyway, so I'm not spending anything extra on rounds. FOR ME the extra couple of hours of time cleaning during break-in (shooting is a hobby that I enjoy so why rush it?) and a few dollars in cleaning supplies is well worth the piece of mind I get knowing it was done properly, even if is doesn't make a difference in the long run. A new rifle setup is a big investment in time and money for most of us, so why risk rushing it?

    Breaking a new one in?

My method FIRST 10 SHOTS After each shot: Use two consecutive patches of a bore solvent to wet the bore. Wet a nylon brush with bore solvent and scrub the bore 10-15 times. Wet the bore with a patch of bore solvent. Run a dry patch through to remove bore solvent. Saturate a patch with a copper solvent/cream. Work back and forth in the bore five or six times. Remove copper solvent/cream with several consecutive patches of bore solvent. Finish with two consecutive dry patches. To further protect against copper buildup add a small amount of bore conditioner/oil to a patch and run through the bore two times. Run a dry patch through to remove excessive bore conditioner/oil. NEXT 20 SHOTS Repeat above procedure after five consecutive shots.
  22. I recently picked up some once fired brass from a friend that was fired out of his brother's 300 Win Mag. I only use FL dies when I reload. My question is does using the FL die completely return the brass to the original shape, or does it still retain some form features from the original firing? Will there be a difference if I reload, shoot it through my rifle (reform fire) and then run it through the FL die again? I hope that makes sense.

    atv's

I've had ATVs with and without 4wd, both utility and sport ATVs as well. It is a nice feature, but I have never found a situation that my 2wd couldn't handle.

Big bulls hitting the ground in unit 1

Looks like HPO (High Point Outfitters) put a giant on the ground. No idea what unit. Probably up north of Flagstaff somewhere. That seems to be their home turf. I'm sure they will post it on here soon. https://www.facebook.com/groups/659453510857296/
