    East valley plumber needed

Yep on both. Ugly and approved for residential use. One huge benefit is it can be put on with water gushing.
  2. I was wondering if anyone wanted a phone call if I come across these kitties again? Mama appears to be huge and I doubt the juvies have spots but I was 1.4 mi away so couldn't say for sure. Most know I'm not a huge dog fan by any means but if someone wants a call on an actual sighting to drop some dogs on, I'm glad to put you on to them. They were just east of Safford and by kitty country standards, are pretty easy to get to where they were. They made a kill on Saturday, August 20th about 4PM but it was just a fawn and doubt there is anything left. PM me if interested

    Archery Kills rolling in already

After a respected member here reached out to me, I did a little checking on the meaning or definition of "poaching" by the AZGFD, and now it's clear.. as mud... From AZDFD: Poaching is the illegal take of game or fish, trespassing, littering, theft or destroying property. (This is the ONLY definition of poaching I could find) Also from AZGFD: Are all violations for unlawful take of wildlife considered “poaching?” Poaching is considered to be the theft of wildlife resources from the public trust. The term “poaching” carries certain connotations with the public. Unintentional or inadvertent take of wildlife, particularly when self-reported, is not considered poaching. It can be said that, while all poaching is illegal take, not all illegal take is poaching. More simply, poaching isn’t hunting, and hunters are not poachers. So, on one page it's poaching, on another page, not so much... A question that did come to mind and about this incident: Will the civil penalties still apply? Also, did they do away with the 4x trophy deer 10K fine? I didn't see it when I was flipping through the regs. I know some of the commissioners didn't like it as their hands were tied. The question was asked of us, I would ask the OP, after all the replies and beatings on here, do you feel you poached a deer? Either way it's one deer in "one of the 40's" that I won't have the chance to chase later.

It wasn't a drawn tag. Wally World doesn't give you any dates when they scribble out your OTC tags..

Lighten up. The guy asked a question and it was answered. Yes, he poached a deer and I believe it is 100% his fault. Nobody called him a scumbag or said he should go to jail. If GnF is really only going to give him a warning then they feel the same way. It sounds like he is a stand up guy that feels bad about it and will likely never let it happen again. Nobody said they haven't made bigger mistakes but that was not the topic of his post. By definition, he poached a deer. He may also be the best, nicest, most honest, hard working guy in the state of Arizona but that is for a different thread.

Yes and no. YOU poached a buck because you listened to a third party and failed to spend the 2 minutes required to check it out with GnF. Can't blame GOHUNT for getting it wrong. (If in fact they did)
  8. So this is probably the rarest thing I'll ever see in the desert. Finally after the rain stopped I went out and the first deer I find.... This is the raw file. I'll add more and edit this when I get home. The fawn had been taken down prior to this clip and at the end of the clip, briefly escapes, but is caught again while the two other cats are chasing the doe.

3 lions and 1 less deer in the desert

Tried a few stands at an hour each but nada. Just the doe that has been hanging around looking for her fawn.

Lakes filling up from the rain??

I have been watching the local lake levels and it's quite disappointing at how little the lakes have risen. Less than a foot for Rosi. I guess not dropping is a win to some degree. https://streamflow.watershedconnection.com/Dwr

    Bear tips. Unit 23

You could always ask one of the 32 vehicles that will pass you with hounds sitting on top of them for tips. It's gotten silly out there in 23. GL and make sure you check the quotas if you want to hunt beyond the 1st week. They often fill the ANNUAL quota in the 1st week.

    Deep sea package deal

Bump and confirmation that these setups have never landed a fish on the single tuna trip they have seen. Basically new gear. 😋

    AC supply house near Tempe/Mesa

Can anybody recommend a parts house for what will hopefully just be a capacitor or cond. fan motor? Trying to sort through the ads is silly. Thx.

    AC supply house near Tempe/Mesa

Thank you, I appreciate that! Got it fixed though. Blown capacitor on the brain under the cover on the inside motor, not the condenser motor. Replaced it and laid down a horrid solder job but it is happy now and blowing cold again. Thanks again.

    Fish hatchery outbreak

The bacterium were never found in AZ before but they were found in California hatcheries in 2020. The trail cam ban being related to Commifornia transplants is purely speculation on my part.

Bartlett Flathead Fishing From the Bank

If you are planning on the weekend, my advice is stay the heck away. It is an absolute freaking madhouse. During the week would be fine but weekends suck. Unless you like that party crowd thing.. Even with a boat, you can't escape. A month ago, we went up to shiprock and there were 5 groups up there as well. They have been whacking em though.

That is odd, I draw those about every 3rd year... Maybe you're onto something here..

    2022 SD Tuna/Yellowtail trips

Did a 1.75 day 3 weeks ago. Bad weather most of the time and only 6 hit the deck. All on sinker rigs during the day and deep. (Down to 500') Biggest to hit the deck was 180 and some smaller schoolies. Two nights of dropping jigs and not a single hookup for the entire boat. Very odd. (One guy went the week prior and they whacked em on jigs at night) I would take gear from 25# flyline up to.... the biggest guns ya got. 200 or 300# leaders for night jigging is not too heavy. You may only get 1 school that wants to play and they could easily be 200# fish. Make sure you have depth markers on your line or depth hunter line or whatever so you know how deep you are. A few 400g knife jigs may be handy too if it's windy. The guys dropping 350g flatfalls couldn't even get down to 200 feet with the winds we had. 12oz weights were on the light side when trying to get sinkers deep. Have fun and good luck!! This was our biggest..

    What's your favorite Burger Joint?

The cutie with killer nails at Burger House is always a nice treat. I call in my order at MP263 when headed west to Globe on 70. (They do seem take a long time to prepare orders)
