I like going out to 7e since its pretty close to flag but i am having some some problems getting into the sheds.I been trying lower and been coming up empty besides a few. areas where the elk were during the rut and even the late hunt Arnet producing. Any one have any info on this unit? maybe do some info trading????? How high up are the elk right now? Watched a heard of about 200 cows but haven't seen 1 bull after going out 4 days. Or maybe this unit just doesnt hold the populations as 6, 10, 5s? so less sheds

Ya Brian the base on the left is alot bigger and lighter in color. They are close but no match. Hopefully i can find the pairs to these two today. If i do i will post them up. O yeah, these are both from this year. They look white buy are just tan from ceder bulls.

found these two sheds within a couple hundred yards from each other and my first thought was that they were matching but after getting home and taking a double look they look too differnt to be match. You think it was just a coincidence that i found them close by each other? the left one has longer main beam and the right one has longer eye guards. Looks like i am going back out to find the other 2. Maybe i can get 2 pairs!!

everything seems to match really good on these two except past the 4th point. How symetric are elk antlers usually? last year i went out and found alot of big nice ones so this year i wanted to get a pair to hang on the wall. I guess if their close enough no one will really notice...or if they do they will still look good on the wall as decor.

i went out this last weekened and everybull i saw still were carrying. maybe this weekend will be better

will it be too early to go this weekend looking for big elk sheds?

Selling my mossberg 4x4 300 WSM. It has a muzzle brake, accu style trigger, fluted barrel, only 6 months old. Shot a spike in 7 East at 475 yds with this rifle. I also have a box of ammo to go with. The rifle is in excellent condition and shoots great. It shot alot better compared to my factory 700. Only reason for selling is i want to put the funds toward a long range 223, 22-250 or varmint rifle. hey i was wondering how i could get a muzzle brake on my girl friends .308 marlin xs7. it doesn't kick alot but reducing the kick as much as possible would be best for here since she weights 110lbs. i am located in flagstaff and i am unsure if there are any gunsmiths in town. can any machine show thread a barrel to take a muzzle brake? if they could i would just get the barrel threaded and then order a break online. or is istalling a brake not this simple.

how cold and how much snow does it usually take to push the deer off the peaks and down low?

thats where i was today wakycouesaddict. ive kicked up some doe during the summer off the cinder cones but havent seen any up on this particular hill since then. i will go check out some others tommarow and sunday. thanks for the info guys.

any help guys? i glassed last weekend and glassed up elk but no deer. about half a mile down the road from where i was glassing 4 does ran across the road back up the hill i was glassing from as i drove back home. I hiked up the hill a couple days later in the middle of the week and found tons of fresh deer track going up and down the hill but no scat. also there was alot of deer tracks in the road in the fresh mud last weekend but for some reason cannot find these dang deer. With the amount of track ive seen you would think the deer would be everywhere

heres a couple of pics i took yesterday thru my spotting scope. im pretty sure i have sheds from the big bull and the small non typical. they were only a couple hundred yards away from where i found their sheds.

his antlers this year are alot bigger mainly the eye guards and the 3rds. also he got some kickers this year maybe 3 of them. i think this one will go 350 since his last years was like 310-315 or so given a 40 in spread. im not too good at guessing or scoring tho.

i just have the late nov 26 hunt but i think he will still be around come my hunt. i been scouting the area since i have a general deer hunt there next month
