    Photobucket Blocking Images

This may be old news, but if you are using the Chrome browser, you can install an extension that will display the blocked PB images. Go to the Extension tool in Chrome and search for "photobucket fix". There are a few different extensions to choose from, the first one I tried didn't work. The one I am using is titled "Photobucket Embedded Image Fix". You will still want to find another way to host your images, but this will at least allow you to see the old PB photos. If you install it successfully, you will see the rattlesnake photo below:

    Coues population in 37B?

Very nice! Thanks for posting it.
  5. I have seen and killed some nice muleys in 37B, but have yet to run across any whitetails. I drew the early general season this year, and it is an "any antlered" hunt. G&F site says there are some whitetails in the unit. I am not looking for any specific information, but really just wanting to know if it is or is not worth my time trying to locate some. Has anyone had any recent (last couple years) experience hunting whitetails in 37B, or had any recent sightings? Is there enough of a population to make a 37B Coues hunt interesting? Thanks

    Coues population in 37B?

I missed this before. Yeah, maybe so! So I have confirmed for myself that there are indeed whitetails in 37B. Glassed up a nice doe and her two fawns...no bucks yet. I'll devote another scouting trip or two to the same area once the weather cools a bit more. Sorry for the crappy handheld cell phone through the bino pic...

    Coues population in 37B?

They're out there, in pretty much every unit. Ya just gottta do your homework, and maybe get a bit lucky too.

    Coues population in 37B?

Thanks, I have actually explored the White Canyon Wilderness some, more as a hiking destination and not so much as a deer hunting destination. Saw a fair amount of deer (and cougar) sign, but wasn't paying that much attention the times I was there. Rough country!

    Coues population in 37B?

As far as the Tiger Mine Rd. area goes, I am not a fan. The few times I have been in that area during the hunt, there have been several large deer camps, and quads and side x sides running all over creation. That's just not my scene, I am fond of quiet and solitude. There are plenty of good muley areas in the unit that get little pressure. I am hoping to find a good Coues area with little pressure as well, but I suspect I will have my work cut out for me...

    Coues population in 37B?

Of course not! If I don't turn up any shooter whitetails on my scouting trips, I will probably focus mostly on muleys for the hunt. I think I have posted these before, but since you asked. All these bucks were taken in 37B by my neighbor and I over the last several years.

    Coues population in 37B?

Thanks for all the tips. I'll be looking for an area where I can glass whitetails up consistently, otherwise I'll just stick to muley hunting. Of course if I was to have a chance encounter with a nice Coues buck while muley hunting, I certainly would not pass it up!

    Coues population in 37B?

Ah, ok...that (Gonzales/Picketpost area) is one area I have not ever scouted. That will give me something to do this fall since I only drew the one tag. Although if I don't turn up any nice Coues bucks I will probably just stick to muleys since I already know there are some bruisers running around the unit. Thanks guys!

    OTC Spring Bear

Oh, ok...I take it your cams are down lower? I was hunting up higher where it's not as hot. There was still a fair amount of water from snow melt in the creek beds, because there were still a few patches of snow here and there clear up on Mt. Lemmon (above where I was hunting) as of opening weekend. So water is (or was) still pretty plentiful. I'm hoping the bears make their way up higher before the hunt closes...although by then the temps may well be in the 90's where I was hunting.

    OTC Spring Bear

It was pretty quiet in the part of the unit I was in the first weekend, and I haven't been out since. I may get back out next weekend if the hunt is still open.

    What sunglasses do you wear?

I must have 6 pairs of these, love em.Maybe same ones I have...my buddy gave me a pair from his work crew. I love them and will be getting more... Yep, this. I buy them in a multi-pack online, works out to just a few bucks a pair. If you have a tendency to break or lose a lot of sunglasses, or even if you don't, they're great. Very comfortable, UV protection, I keep a pair in every vehicle, in all my backpacks, and some extras in the house.
