A friend of a friend found this bull in 5BS last week. Arrow was still in him. If you or a friend hit this bull send me arrow make and fletching color and I will send coordinates.

😂😂hoping it would free me up a unit 8 archery tag!! A million in population growth over the last 12 years can’t help either!

For what it’s worth I have helped kill 12 bulls in 7e in the last 4 years. We killed 4 in 5 days this year on archery hunt. My 13 year old killed a 362” last year up there…trash hunt 😂

That is certainly a fact. This guy could have done everything within his ability to execute and something happened. My experience with being a part of over 20 elk kills is people rushing the opportunity instead of being patient and letting it happen or passing a marginal opportunity for a better one. I just came back from early archery hunt with 4 tags in our camp. We killed 4 bulls in 5 days…furthest shot 30 yards. All of us in camp can shoot our broadheads consistently in baseball size groups at 60 but I discouraged everyone in camp from shooting over 40. A target doesn’t move…elk do. I called over 20 bulls in for these guys and had them pass long shots and it allowed us to get chip shots. Archery hunting is a game of inches 👍

The point spread between early archery and late rifle is typically 1-3, so not too significant. Quality of hunt experience is huge difference. At 7 points you are very close on many mid tier units for early archery 6a, 6b, 7e, 8, 11m. Of course point creep is happening but it affects most desired hunts first and tricks down. Late rifle hunts are fun but you are typically locating a bull and shooting. Early archery you are enjoying 2 weeks of elk behavior at its finest with the chance to harvest a bull of a lifetime. Just my thoughts. Mark

Awes job buddy!! 👊

I do not have flat feet so tough to answer, but imo they do have very good arch support.
-
I also have bear tooth 0g. Love them and put tons of miles on them in all sorts of terrain and weather conditions.

Bulls are pretty much finished and look incredible. Feed was outstanding and just browning up in last few weeks. Rains seem to be starting and next week looks better. Calf recruitment is outstanding and elk are fat and happy! Best of luck on your hunt 👊

Travis, I am unsure why so many are generalizing the winter kill. It is terrible in some units and many really good units had minimal die off and have same amount of available tags as last year. There are a ton of units you can easily shoot a mid seventies buck. 32, 46, 47, 48,51. All of those units you will see multiple bucks over 70”. All can be drawn in regular draw with well under 8 points. Good luck, Mark
