Part of the fun is learning where to go and the trial and error of finding new places. Just my opinion.

I hate running into cattle on hunts and with all the attention Unit 23 gets on forums and podcasts, etc, adding more cattle seems like the last thing the unit needs.

Congrats, post some pictures once you're hunt is finished. Also, I have talked to plenty of people that passed on nice rams the first day and could never find them again. I agree with everyone that taking your time is great advice, just throwing that out there.

Roads? hahaha... more like some "relatively" flat rocks in between dirt/mud that you drive over. The problem is not all of those rocks are flat! Better have very good tires if you go off a "main" road! Probably qualifies for some of the roughest "roads" in any decent elk unit. It's rocky to walk in too...
& yes, they'll probably never post again.
Definitely some rocky roads in that unit.... very fun unit to hunt though.

Just go look for deer and try to shoot one....

It would be hard for me to pass up a 320" bull with a bow in my hands.

Wow that is very lucky, I couldn't even draw a late hunt with 9 points this year.

In the end even this clean photo of a nice ram is going to cause the PETA's and lovers to hate and shame....
Yeah good point.

Is this a bad picture to post? Couldn't help it. I have read that the Coyote population is higher in North America than ever previously. This article makes it sound like you can just set a electronic call out and coyotes will just be running in from every direction. These things can be tricky to hunt and i think it is a challenge that more people should try.
I wish the populations of deer and antelope were as high as coyotes.

She did have a radio collar on. The ram was very infatuated with that ewe.

He is talking about a spot in 23n where there are not a lot of cattleman’s water tanks but more natural springs and creeks. He also said they are not against cattle.....
