I've never had a problem with them. If lowers and all other parts are truly mil spec, everything works well.

Todd South (Southern Xpress Custom Rifles) and I are getting ready to set up a jig to add the tensioner screw that Dave Beaty invented but did not finish his patent on in a timely manner, so Arrow is doing it now. With that added to the Anderson lowers, they should be pretty much as good as Arrows.

While they may be manufactured to milspec it’s the QC from these companies that sets them apart. Anderson tends to let more slide than other companies do which is why some are decent and some simply aren’t. The tension screw on my Aero builds aren’t even in play I have to admit. I have zero slop on them except for my Anderson/PSA build which doesn’t affect anything that I’m aware of.

Just reading this and have a question (probably a stupid one that I should know). So, if you have previously purchased an AR pistol with a brace, can you install a 16”+ upper and then keep the brace?  I guess another way of saying it is can you turn an AR pistol into a full length rifle?

Also, as I understand , the lower is the actual firearm so you can keep the upper from the AR pistol as long as it is not put onto something that is not nfa? Do I have this correct in my head?

Yes to all of that. Now where you have to be careful is with something called "constructive intent". Meaning, you cannot just remove the brace from a pistol and store them both in your safe or even the same room. How far do they both have to be from each other? Great question lol

With the ruling you have multiple options. Remove the brace entirely, keep the brace on and put 16"+ barrel, register as an SBR, destroy the firearm or give up the firearm to ATF. Don't shoot the messenger I am just feeding the garbage that came straight from the donkeys mouth.

Well shoot… that was my original offer a few weeks ago. Guess you changed your mind

Yes it was and at the time I was asking fair market value and you offered a low price out of the gate and I wasn't willing to accept that at the time. Thanks

Thanks for the tripod pics. I’m just starting to look for a glassing set up.

I’ve used this tripod for several years. It’s been up and down many mountains and while it’s not the lightest on the market it’s definitely one of the sturdiest I’ve handled. It’s just the right height to glass while sitting or standing.
