  1. I drove the whole 300 road from showlow to Heber in October last year and saw probably 4 bucks around 150 and probably 15 bucks under that.  And that was just on the road. With a little glassing up in some of the canyons by heber a good quality buck could be found for sure.

I called Azgfd about that In 1998 and they said it was ok. But could probably call 5 times and get 5 different answers. Depending on the legality I may or may not have taken some shots a couple weeks ago. Common carp only

Yeah fs I might call and find out

  3. So I know you can shoot carp and cats with a bow. I was wondering if anyone knows if it’s legal to bowfish in the srp canals. I know you can’t shoot grass carp but common carp are fair game. I wasn’t sure if there were laws regulating bow fishing those canals. They go by houses too so I wasn’t sure if I had to follow the 1/4 mile that hunters do with bows. Any info would help thanks.

If you're hand holding certainly 10x vs 12x. Easier to hold steady and a wider FOV.

    Why the Razor vs

    Meopta

    GPO

    Zeiss

    Leica

    Kowa

    etc

As a long standing supporting vendor here on the forum it would be our pleasure to discuss this with you and help figure out which would suit your intended use the best. If you've got a few minutes give us a call, 516-217-1000
    Thanks

So I bought the razor 10x42s. Today. This isn’t my last pair of glass so I’ll give you sometime.

  5. So I’ve been using the classic vortex crossfire 12x50s for the last few years and I wanna upgrade. I want new vortex razor hds before shed season  and the spring hunts. I can buy 10x42s now so I’ll have them in time but I don’t wanna be missing out on the extra 2 power I’ve had. Am I gonna be losing a lot going from the 12x50 crossfire to a razor 10x42?  I just don’t wanna regret buying them. I really like the edge clarity and low light glassing compared to my crossfires but will I miss the extra 2x?  What do y’all run as far as chest glass?  Like if yall could only have one pair is it gonna be 10s or 12s?

Congrats! It was awfully hot and dry in 6b. Saw some small elk and several bear, only one set of fresh turkey tracks though.

Thanks! Dang. We chased bears the rest of the week but didn’t find any.

I thought the face looked muley too.

Was his chest cavity full of water?  Is that your buddy's first deer? Heck of a shot.

No we wasn’t full of water surprisingly. It was his first archery deer. He’s killed a 90” coues and a few smaller ones.

  8. Me and my friend Denton put in work these last couple weekends. We saw over 20 bucks the first weekend but no real big one. Yesterday we had this 2 point come in to 50 yards and Denton smoked him. We quartered him out and got back to the blind. We sat for 20 minutes and then had a bigger 3 point coues come in. He smelled something and busted. I unfortunately didn’t get a shot at any decent deer but I still have December.  It was still fun hunting and getting this buck.

With less than two weeks left, I hope you get to share a few pics and a good story with the new bow Mr. Larson.

Thanks. Me and my buddy had over 20 different spikes and 2 points come into water on Saturday. I drew on the biggest of the day but didn’t take the shot. I’m hoping I’ll be able to score a bigger buck.

Well did you have to haul any meat out by yourself hopefully you had some luck

I couldn’t find the buck I was after. The rain messed up the deer. They haven’t hit water this whole week. I only glassed a spike some rams and some javelina.

How far is the closest place to get ice from your truck? Depending on that if you need to make 2 trips with meat take all the prime meat first, loins, back straps etc and haul butt to the truck,  get ice and haul butt back.

Note, when having a full heavy pack and being in a hurry make sure you have walking sticks.

It’s like 5 minutes maybe. It’s a place that’s pretty close to town with a fairly low hunting pressure. And yeah I’m bringing trekking poles For sure.
