  1. This rifle is from 1986 based on S/N and is almost certainly only rated for .223 pressure (~55,000 psi).

The 5.56 pressure (~58,000 psi) is higher and will cause problems.  For 1 or 5 or 10 rounds, probably not, but if it were my life I'd stick to .223 on this Mini-14.

I have a 185 series Mini-14 and it is only rated for .223 and I shoot it every single time I'm at the range.  Such a fun gun.

    Newer Mini-14's can shoot .223 and 5.56.

  2. Here another good option IMO.  Estate sales link HERE. The downside is you cannot be in too much of a hurry as not every ES has a fridge for sale, but many do.

Larger item will sometimes be sold before the ES starts so don't hesitate to contact the ES company.

Also, the Best Buy scratch and dent store (there one near PV Mall) is where I bought one.  Not cheap but a fridge can be bought for 50-75% off of SRP.

Also, they have (or did) 100+ fridges to choose from in all sizes and prices.

    Good luck,

  3. I use ACI. Link HERE.

Used them for the last 3 years for my '92 Miata.  Agreed value of $12,000 and includes full cover.

Annual policy just renewed this month at $400.  Last year it was $360.

Previously had Hagerty.  Too restrictive and expensive.

ACI allows for up to 5,000 miles/year with normal driving like trips to Safeway or driving to work occasionally.
