Carhartts for coues hunting....and they aren't broken in properly until they have their first hole or tear. Had friends used both Kuiu and Sitka pants down south and both brands would catch and the fabric would pull out. Seen them have good success with gaitors but why add the extra layer? I wear the same Carhartts that I've had since my first coues hunt in 2006...almost tradition at this point.

You don't wanna be wishing that. I refer all those bratty little kids to the dentist down the street!! You'd go broke in a hurry if you gave up as fast as I do!!! I may need to borrow your mad buffalo and goulds skills one of these days hopefully! Those kids are easier than the whiny adults! You draw a Goulds or Buff tag and we will head out and add to your collection.

But it's public land. The guides do not own it and as a "Freebie" you should not have to move out of the way of somebody who is paying a guide just because they are paying a guide. I had that hunt this past Spring and was one of the "Freebies" and was able to get it done when I went against the grain.

Sorry for your loss and he will always live on with you. The Mountains are the most therapeutic place to be and can serve as an homage to the skills and memories he had helped provide you.

I would completely agree. Bought one in February and have loved it so far but it does suck the gas. I owned a Tacoma for years and never had any issues with it for 200k miles. Had two different for F150s after the Tacoma and both had engine issues and poor customer service for both. Went back to Toyota this time.

I got my Buffalo this past Spring and Casey's did my processing. Best meat I've ever had! I'd recommend getting just the prime cuts and the rest in to burger and mixed meats. Casey's is a little pricey but he does a great job and it's the most convenient for that hunt....especially since it's going to be hot and you are going to have a lot of meat.

Price drop to $750. Make him an offer and they can be yours....and get them out of the side of my house!

Selling for a buddy of mine. Bought a new 2015 Tacoma and replaced the wheels and tires so he is selling the set that came with the truck. Has 50 miles on them. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if they plan on updating the portal as they start assigning the leftover tags? Just think that would be an efficient way to run that without having people calling the office non-stop and slowing down their work.

We will be down there hunting this Thanksgiving as well. We should try and meet up....been a long time.

I just know that with 4000 applications that having anxious applicants calling all day will slow down their process. Would think having the portal reflect the results would be a good thing for them to do.

Kirkland brand from Costco. My sister did a comparison to other brands that are much higher priced and the ingredients showed to be the same if not better than most of them. Been feeding my lab that for years. Think it's about $30 a bag.

First of all.....this was the hardest hunt I've ever had. With the extremely wet Spring that we have had on the Plateau the past couple of months the animals have not been moving off the park like I have heard they had in previous years. It was mentally frustrating, time consuming, expensive, challenging, and all worth it in the end! Thank you for all of my friends who were able to make the trip up north with me this past couple months and those who provided information and knowledge about this hunt. And good luck to the rest of the guys who are still up there giving it heck. When I left on Sunday there have only been a confirmed 7 Buffalo taken with rumor of an 8th out of the 30 tags this year, and only more week left in the season. In total I spent 21 days on the plateau and was able to take this Bull on day number 20. There are guys up there still that have spent even more days then that this season and still have yet to lay eyes on an animal. Now that I'm gone the weather should be much better and hopefully some more animals start showing up the last week. Apparently I was a curse as every weekend since April 24 as I would start driving up the weather would turn nasty and wet and the day that I left it would start to warm up. I've seen more snow this past 6 weeks then I cared to. We guessed him as a 10 year old bull. Big head and beard on this guy....I couldn't be more happy with the outcome!!!

It is a Pump and a great gun. I've got one and it has been great for waterfowl and turkey for the past 10 years. Shot quail and dove with it too but mainly use it for the first two.
