I bought a sent loc suit in about 98 or 99, I thought it helped, it was one of the older types. you were suposed to put in the dryer on high heat for an hour to reactivate the charcole. I do know the couple times I washed it the water was black from the charcole, so it probabley all washed away now... I really don't know if it made a difference or not. I was able to get close to some animals but I was still always trying to keep the wind in my favor.... on a related or mabey not subject has anyone ever noticed deer or elk not being afraid of kids or thier sent. I'll never forget huntin in Utah with my 2 boys 4&5 at the time kind of sittin in a blind, I turn around to see the 2 of them havin a blast peein all over a tree. well of course i was put out and we left the spot only to come back by the next morning to find 3 forky's lickin the tree like crazy???

what a joke. why not just go shoot your bow 50 times.....Just like weight training if you can't handle the weight just lower the pound and keep good form...with today's bows there is no reason to shoot a bow weight that is to much for you.... mark
-
mine finaly cleared yesterday. keeping my fingers crossed..
-
My sling goes over your shoulder and fits over the cams of the bow. It slides off the bow very easy. You really don't even need to look at what your doing. like anything else new there is a learning curve...
-
I use a sling because I carry 10x bino's.. ever try and look when holding them with one hand. It also free's up a hand for those steep climbs.

I.ve been using ACC's since 1996 and I'll stick with these. the only time I've ruined arrows is when I've hit rocks dead on... -
Just wondering if anyone has a good turkey recipe. we were lucky enough to get a turkey and want to give it a chance to be a great meal. thanks mark
-
mine haven't cleared yet. sent in may 26th.
-
It's like everything else in setting up a bow. when you make a change you need to make an adjustment. Just play with your nock till you get clearance.
-
congratulations, enjoy every day good or bad, enjoy every challenge there will be a lot. it's all worth it. remember when that lillte guy is 20 or 21 no matter what, you will think where did the time go, so enjoy now.

I agree with az4life, I've been to quite a few meetings and it is very frustrating to sit there and listen to the general population talk about their feelings. Qiete often they make no sense at all, their hearts are in the right place and they are not lazy like most of us, they actually get their butt to the meeting and try to make a difference.... things seem to work much better if there is a few spokespersons voicing our concerns.. we need to remember that most of the people working for the G&F have masters or phd's and are used to working with scientific facts not heart felt emotions...I also think if the commision just left the hunt numbers up to the individual biologist in each unit things would be much better.

So. AZ forest may be closed!

the fact is we have illegals here ONLY because our goverment wants them here. we can stop them if wanted. we also do have the resourses to build a wall if needed. Just use the border patrol as supervisors and the illegals as laborers. It would be much cheaper than paying for and increasing the number of agents. by the way I really don't have a problem with them comming to work and live here. they serve a purpose and are probable vital to what is left of our economy. at least this goes for 98% of the illegals. -
I was just wondering what you all are doing with your sheds. do you sell them? or are they just lying around. every time I put sheds in the front of the house they seem to disapear within a week. Ive been told that people sell them?
-
can I ask what kind of prices you are getting for antlers. for instance nice 6x6 elk shed. or 4pt whitetail shed. thanks.

I also can't wait. we were there a few times this past spring and summer, fishing and taking the horses for swims, and couldn't believe how low it was. we usually hang out around horse pasture. well this summer that was the western edge of the lake. also just the fact that you can now see the lake from the highway is great.

I also have shot most brands. In my opinion high country used to be the best. they were fast and smooth. but about 7 years ago mathews left everybody behind, and they are still trying to catch up. the last bow I bought was a mathews 3 1/2 years ago. it is buy far the best I have ever shot. If you have a mathews that is not quiet then something is very wrong. I have had 4 pse bows and my back up is a pse. I do not thing they are a very good bow. lots of work to get them quiet, and to tune. not a smooth draw. But I will agree they have great customer service. I have my back up because I had one of their bows blow up. All it took was 1 call, send the bow in and they sent me a NEW bow top of the line at the time and new rest. this was on a 6 year old bow. But still all in all it can't compair to my mathews...Also if you do buy a pse go to the factory and shoot them all. and also look at last years models and save big bucks...

re: the stanslowski release it is a great release if you have a target panic problem. I used one for practice for about 2 years. I also hunted with it untill I had to make a quick shot at a pig. it was a thick area with pigs moving everywhere. it called for a quick shot. I missed 4 times at under 20 yards with my 12 year old son laghing his head off at me. Just know way for ME to make a quick shot with that release. My son did get his pig and had a great time at my expense

get a scott, you can't go wrong with any of their models. I use velcro straps, they are all a double strap. you do not have to worry about them coming off. the trigger through is also adjustable, and you should adjust it to you. the ONLY good release is the one you don't EVER think about......
