I drove up with 2 of my children 11 and 15 at the time. We enjoyed the inland most of all. 2.5lb brookies were a blast and tasty. We spent about 2.5 months on the road. We did head to seward and that area. we caught a ton of reds and sent a bunch home. Then my wife flew up for a couple weeks and we sent 2 50lb frozen boxes home on the plane with her. We never used a guide , but we had time to ask and learn from locals. My son 15 caught a king on light tackle on the indian river on his first cast. he was alone, I had taken my daughter horse back riding and dropped him off. I found him about 1/2 mile upstream still trying to get that king in. Just a wonderful trip and amazing place. But I'll say, my son and I probably only slept 4 hours a day. so hard to head back to camp when you catching fish and it never gets dark. Everyone wants to head back, but they want to me to make the drive and meet me up there. BC also had great fishing along the way.

I have found helical fletching of any kind much louder than straight.

I've shot a long bow for about 10 years. I love shooting it. I have killed a few Javilena and two mule deer bucks. Tried elk bull elk hunts but missed. Get used to stalking to under 20 yards. I'm dead on at 30 yards, but by the time the arrow gets there the game have jumped 2 or three steps. My deer were shot at 12 and 16 yards. Traditional is a whole different game.

once again, will those of you concerned attend the meeting. Or will you just sit on the computer and complain if you don't like the results.

I am shocked this is still up. I can only guess most do not know what great off road vehicles these are.

just got back from hunting oregon. my son had a big lion stalking him for 20 min at less than 20 yards. did not have a hand gun. no shot with his bow. too thick. how thick. I had a bull at less than 10 yard for 20 min. could hear him breathing , peeing. but could not see even a leg. this lion just moved with my son. he carried a 357 after that... he could not decide to nock a arrow or video so nocked but no video.

hmm , sounds like the COVID way. like Verizon. close up all the stores , offer no support or help. dont maintain or upgrade the towers. then sit back and collect money.....

FYI , the last dog we had put down, we had a vet come to our home. cost $100. we were all there, much more comforting. Cal had his tennis balls and antlers with him. his head on my daughters lap.. To my family, this was still horribly hard but much better than having him in a vets office. All my dogs are scarred to death of the office.

GreyGhost Just curious, did you sharpen the blades before your hunt? I am by no means sold on these broadheads. Just thought I would buy some and shoot.
-
I just wanted to follow up on the montechs. I bought some G5's. I'm hunting in a state that does not allow any expandable blades. 1st they shoot great. 2nd they were not sharp in the package. could hardly shave hair. 3rd they did take some time to sharpen properly. But I was able to get them very sharp. 4th They are tough.
-
like any broadhead, keep it sharp. Fred Bear used to say if your broadhead was razor sharp you could hit an animal almost anywhere and it would die.....

put a locker in the back, have chains and you'll be much better off.

nothing in Gila county, because really not a reliable way to get tested. Even though sonora quest does testing you need a script to get tested. So most travel to PHX for a test. That is what I did. Has far has hospitals being filled up. The hospitals in maricopa county were running consistently at over 98% capacity before this hit. Most institutions have cancelled and elective procedures. This does help with the room to treat people. Social distancing? not if you work in a hospital..........

my 96 has 390k, when the time comes I'll rebuild and not think twice. I know every issue plus the limited electronics make me very comfortable when I'm in the middle of nowhere.

Good luck, I hunt with a longbow and it is tough. I got a mule deer this year at 18yds. Ive shot at a couple whitetails but at over 20 yards they are long gone before my arrow arrives. Its still a blast.

just could not compete with the big stores... to bad, he had a great inventory of camping supplies plus best prices and selection of western wear.

I've only talked to Duwane twice. The 1st time he gave me two bits of advice, the second time I let him know how things worked out. The advice he gave me completely changed the way I hunt. He did not have to give me these tips and why would he do it if he where such a snake? From here it seems we have not heard from Duane or A3 , only 3rd or 4th hand info. Who knows the truth? I
