Grand Canyon/Kaibab Buffalo
runningbird replied to runningbird's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I have done quite a bit, of course I could do a lot more. I will say that I've been to many G&F meetings, and a few forest service meetings. We sportsman do not represent ourselves well in these settings. GreyGhost if your looking for an argument from me your not going to get it. I Just would hope people cared enough to try and give some input. -

i'm just saying, after years on this forum. I see a lot of whining and complaining but not much work or actual involvement. and certainly not singling you out. I am just frustrated with all the opinions but no action. -

Looking for new bow for my wife. she is a long time shooter, but has not had a new bow since 98. She will be drawn for elk this year so she wants something faster lighter than the highcountry ultra force she currently shoots. I shoot a long bow for last 5 years so am of no help. We were looking at a Mathews Avail but the shop did not have the modules for her draw length. Any insight would be appreciated.
-
But I was trying to help them cut there inventory . Do you know where they are moving to?
-
Yep I went to the shop in Payson, would like to keep my money local but he really on had a Mathews and didn't have the right modules. I emailed Ross just for a list of what they might have, but they have not replied. My wife is trying to shoot a lot right now to get ready for elk and a new bow. she will be shooting a few bows before the choice is made. thanks for all the replies.

runningbird replied to couesarcher's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I use the carlton cat paws, but they are getting harder to find. on the primitive side, Ive had one muley and one w/t jump the string on me at under 30 yards this season. uhgggg. -
Kaibab not being designated a National Monument
runningbird replied to BowHuntAZ's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
This is great news. Many people and organizations have put a lot of time, effort and thought into preventing this from happening. Thanks to all that participated! -
RV solar electric, they are in Scottsdale, I bought my first system from them 20 years ago. I had a panel for 9 years and it went bad, they replaced it for free. They are a little more expensive but only sell quality items and tech and customer support is outstanding.

runningbird replied to bigmuleyfan's topic in Mule Deer Hunting
go to lacorts, they are in fredona. no extra charge for adding beef fat. after you see the beef cuts in there shop you may forget about your deer. I've always done it myself but had to do something different last year. all I can say is perfect.... -
He has more respect than most people that live in this country.

runningbird replied to Eagle mountain ranch's topic in The Campfire
we had a 56 Chevy panel truck. 250ci straight 6, great milage and lots of room. good ground clearance also. My wife loved it, I bet yours would too. -
I have an apple press.

Rage 3-blade broadhead SUCK!?!?!
runningbird replied to AZ_Native's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
IMO it's all very simple, shot placement and a sharp blade. Just because it is new does not mean it's sharp enough. Also if has you stated you had a very good blood trail and arrow sticking out of him. You could have missed the trail, made a mistake? did you find the arrow? Not criticizing , I've lost trails also. -
Hard to sell high end rv's any time of the year

its not quiet at all. but it will keep you dry. if you have the hood on, forget about hearing anything other than yourself. I have the rain gear and use it to sit out a storm, you will not sneak up on anything in it.
-
It's been tough the last few days with the wind. First two days were fun almost wished I had my compound opening morning. 50 yards from a real nice bull.
-
whatever he shoots, it comes down two two things. Placement and SHARP. But I like Cutthroats.

I'll be sending you a pm later this weekend. I'm looking for help on my diet/nutrition.
