I have had some success wih the new Hoochie Mama. It's easy to use and it realy calls them in. I wish I could show a picture of one I vedioed this last season but don't know how to put it on here. Good luck with your hunt. hoochie mamaaaaaaaaaa!

    Meet Amber

Thanks Mike for showing Amber. We will have to have a few beers around the fire some nite and try and figure out how many elk it has hauled out. It's up there alot more than you think. You still need a lower passenger step to complete her.

    dogs

I have a friend,"yes I have one, " who is currently training a young bird dog. He told me awhile back that him and a few guys had thier dogs vaccined for snake bite somewhere in Carefree I think. It was a series of shots. I'll find out more detail and price tomorrow. He also said you still had to take your dog to the vet if it got bitten. Later!

    Release hooked up to Shoulder

Younghunter, I just happen to see this Topic and thanks. I just had shoulder surgery 3 weeks ago and my doctor saids he isn't sure if I will be able to pull my bow back by my Nov. archery bull hunt. I don't think this will work but it's a start on some ideas.
  13. Thanks for the update. I'm heading there thru the keys.

    Favorite part of hunting?

    My wife says that Gamehauler has made a CWT addict out of me. I ask her what her favorite part of hunting was and she started laughing. She came back with just the opposite. She said " I don't like getting up early / I don't want to walk more than 200yds / Quit telling me to just pull the !@#$% trigger / I don't make noise you do / I don't like you trying to video my turkeys and scareing them away / Why do I have to gut it / Get your own beer /" I don't think I had anything to do with any of that but she still likes pulling the trigger and braggin about the shot. ;

    magnus stinger durability test

I just went to carbon the last 2 years because I had to drop down to 58lbs from 72lbs cuss of my bum shoulder. My 05 cow was a pass thru at 15rds but my 06 bull was broadside the same distance and it for some reason hit a rib, reflexed up into the far side of the spine. I was shooting from a ground blind. They fly really well but I have some concern. I'm certainly no expert but I hear nothing but good stuff from George at Archery Headquarters.

    Gas Out

That sounds good Mike so let's all fill up on the 14th and put $2,292,000,000.00 in their pocket a day earlier. Don't get you feathers all fluffed, I'm only kidding. I'm in!

I understand but the girl needs some attention. I updated my profile, I hope you're not offended. I might be a flatlander to most of you but I got RIMCOUNTRY BLOOD in me.

    Whats In A Name

First of all, thanks Mike for turning me on to CWT. Since the beginning of time, back in Ohio, my Grandpa and Dad drug me thru the woods right after I started walking, hunting rabbits, groundhogs, & squirrels. It is all I ever wanted to do and my nick name at work is TJ. I have always wanted people to know that I hunt to. Soooooooooooo it's "tjhunt2" Mike, you have forgotten to show everyone what really makes you the "Gamehauler"

    My 2006 Summer

Younghunter, your pictures are great. I have wanted to go to Alaska my whole live and now my wife has decided the money is for our Hawaii trip in June. OK, yes I am the BOSS but I'm letting her have her way just this once. Keep the pictures coming.

    Favorite part of hunting?

You hit it right on the nail, me to. Dad's 77 and every moment sitting on a hill side with him is another memory.

    LOOK WHAT I FOUND!

Them are some of the best pictures I've seen of rattlers. I have had some really spooky incounters with these. This is the time of year I spook at every little thing that looks or sounds like one. If you're out and hear a scream, it's just me when another grasshooper flies up from my feet.
  22. Mike, that's a great picture and when I look at that picture my lungs begin to burn all over again. What a climb that was for this fat boy.
  23. Milke, thanks for finishing the story. I tried to keep it short. There's no doubt that it will happen to you with the amount of time you spend out there. I just hope I'm there when it goes down.
  24. While archery hunting deer north of Payson a few years ago. It was labor day, around 7a.m., sitting in my double bull blind when two cats approached my water hole. I drew back as they walked by but I couldn't release because they were side by side and a pass thru would have hit both. Also, 35yrds was farther than anything I had ever killed and was out of my comfort zone. No camera, and who was going to believe this was running thru my mind as they drank. I had made up my mind I wouldn't attempt a shot. Then the cats turned and headed right towards my blind. They were there before I had a chance to pull my bow back. They circled the side I had brushed-up with no windows open. I opened a window and the only thing seperating me from the cats were a few sticks and brush. It startled me so bad I dropped the window and the lions continued on around behind me. That is when I got up out of my chair and opened the back flap. There, standing 8 yrds away looking in at me, was I dreaming? With one motion I drew as I knelt on one knee and released. I shook so bad and my mind was in fast forward. I don't remember aiming. Had I missed? Was it a bad hit? Were both lions waiting on me? I was a reck! After 20 minutes I climbed out and saw some blood. I drove back to camp and returned with my father to find the cat 75yrds away.
