    The IRS drives me crazy

I have never gotten this big a refund before. I usually owed when I was SE. When I was self employed and did not make any quarterly estimate tax payments, I got stung a few times at the end of the year. Snap, Be very aware of money they are giving you that you did not ask for.....strings attached somewhere I am sure. Good luck to everybody in the taxation without representation area. We just went over our insurance policy and you know that government health care plan that just got passed......you and I are getting ready to pay for that plan like never before.................. If you have a job, pay taxes and pay for your insurance or anybody elses, get ready for the big SCREW!!! Pardon my french.........

    Home Surveillance

OK, so here is the story. Somebody rummaged through my wifes van last night, dug through the glove box, passed up some Advil, plastic forks, napkins. Quarters in the ash tray area, CD's below, CD player..................and took her coat off the back of the seat. Nothing really special about the coat, minimal value. We live on a corner and through the years have lost about 7 bikes that the kids forgot to lock up. One we found in the dumpster at the little league field, one we found being ridden at the local Police sponsored Bike Rodeo's. Anyway. I want to put up a surveillance camera on my place, something that will allow footage to be recorded type of deal. Anybody out there with some experience in the area?? Don't really want to spend bank on it but would like to get some footage of activity outside my front door.......

    Gun Sales Up

DOUGLAS - Gun and ammunition sales are up at a Douglas store following the murder two weeks ago of a southern Arizona cattle rancher. Authorities believe an illegal immigrant - most likely someone working for a smuggling cartel - shot the 58-year-old Rob Krentz on March 27 on his ranch near Douglas. Krentz managed to drive away in his all-terrain vehicle before dying from his wounds. Nothing had been stolen from him, his gun was still in its holster and his dog was killed, too. The general manager of Allsafe Security, Lynn Kartchner, says he's selling 20 guns a week and most of them are handguns. Kartchner says he's unhappy that the rise in sales stems from a death in the community. He says he was friends with Krentz and misses him. http://www.azcentral.com/community/pinal/a...er-slaying.html

Amanda, We saw the same thing and when my twelve year old reminded me that Grandma(passed away last March of 09) sure loved the poppies I told him that God had put Grandma in charge of the watering this year and that is why the poppies are out so good. She grew up in the Virden/Duncan area and just loved the poppies. Thanks for the pics they are awesome.............

Seems like a pretty murky situation that can only get ugly. We are headed out this weekend to put up a cam, our first and looking forward to seeing what we can pick up on it. Illegal Man in Korea

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea said Wednesday it has sentenced an American man to eight years' hard labor and a fine equivalent to $700,000 for entering the country illegally and unspecified hostile acts. Aijalon Mahli Gomes was fined 70 million won after acknowledging his wrongdoing during a court trial Tuesday, the North's official Korean Central News Agency said in a brief dispatch. South Korea's Unification Ministry said the official exchange rate in North Korea is 100 North Korean won to one dollar, which means the fine would equal $700,000. Representatives of the Swedish Embassy in North Korea, which looks after U.S. interests in the country, witnessed the trial at their request, it said. The North said last month that it arrested Gomes, 30, of Boston on Jan. 25 for trespassing after he crossed into the country from China. Gomes is the fourth American detained in communist North Korea on charges of illegal entry in little over 12 months. Two American journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee, were arrested in March last year near the Chinese border and sentenced to 12 years of hard labor for illegal entry and engaging in hostile acts. They were freed in August after former U.S. President Bill Clinton made a high-profile humanitarian visit to Pyongyang to negotiate their release. On Christmas, American missionary Robert Park strode into North Korea from China on a self-proclaimed mission to draw attention to North Korea's human rights record and to call for leader Kim Jong Il to step down. He was released in February after more than 40 days in custody. It was not immediately clear why Gomes, a graduate of Bowdoin College in Maine who taught English in South Korea, went to the North. The State Department has said the U.S. wants to make sure he is returned to the United States as soon as possible.

    Border Invasion Pics

This was on the news this morning, showing clips of illegal crossings. Just interesting if you have time and want to get your blood boiling. The one thing I liked was the guy mentions on the site to go ahead and forward these clips to your state reps which is on my list of things to do. http://www.borderinvasionpics.com/
